Today, there was a laundry basket of my clothes sitting in my room. My dad asked me if they were clean or not. When I said I didn't know, he picked up a piece of my clothing, sniffed it, and said it smelled fine. That piece of clothing just so happened to be my underwear. FML

Today, after finishing the laundry, I took clothes out of the dryer and took a big whiff of their delicious clean scent. That was when I noticed that my mom was watching me, and I had just smelled my dad's still-stained underwear that was on top. FML
Today, I was doing the laundry but couldn't tell if one basket contained dirty clothes or clean clothes. I put my head down into the basket and took a whiff to check, and smelled something strong. I looked down and noticed I had shoved my nose into my mother's dirty panties and inhaled deeply. FML
Today, I was doing the laundry and changing the bed sheets. I found most of my underwear under my step daughters bed, when I asked her, she said that she liked the way they smelled. FML
Today, my dad decided to be an awesome person and fold my laundry without telling me. Later, I heard my parents having a conversation about a pair of panties that were "like dental floss" and which sister they belonged to. FML
Today, I was doing laundry and realized that my father had left dirty underwear soaking in a bucket outside for the last two weeks. I informed him that they needed to be thrown out, and they smelled like sewage. It's been over 95 degrees outside lately here. He then yelled and sweared at me. FML
Today, I found out that before my grandma washes my clothes, she smells my underwear to "make sure they're dirty." FML
Today, I woke up to a weird smell in my apartment. I checked everywhere but couldn’t find the source. After a while, I discovered the smell was coming from the pile of laundry I'd left in the corner, laundry that I thought was clean. It was the gym clothes I'd thrown in there three weeks ago. FML
Today, I got home to find a pair of my dirty underwear (that were in the dirty clothes basket) in the middle of the living room. I must be delicious, because my dog was licking them. This isn't the first time this has happened. FML
Today, I noticed some of my things in my slob of a roommate's piles of clothes. I found six pairs of my underwear that had gone missing. Turns out she hasn't done laundry recently so my underwear drawer was her own personal Victoria's Secret. I hadn't even worn a pair yet. All six were stained. FML
Today, I went to pick up my laundry from the communal machines in my apartment building. When I got there, all my clothes were neatly folded on top of the dryer. I was impressed, until I realized half of the pile wasn’t mine. I'd been carrying someone else’s underwear up to my apartment. FML

It was your DAD. He probably did this without even thinking that it might look weird. Your parents have seen you naked before and have washed your underwear so many times. They don't care if it's a shirt or your bra. Are we really so full of paranoia that we don't trust our parents anymore?

No, gender doesn't matter. Op is his child. He's seen them naked multiple times and used to wipe their butt. I'm sure he didn't mean to grab underwear, it was probably just on top. OP is totally overreacting and sounds stupid. It's their dad, not Unlce Chester.

OP probably didn't expect the dad to sniff their clothes. That's kinda something that takes you by surprise; perhaps OP didn't have enough time to get up and check. Also, just wondering OP, but how do you not know if clothes in your own room are dirty or clean? Unless your mom washed them for you without you knowing or something, I could understand that.

Sometimes parents do it anyway. My parents did, just as I helped with the rest of the family's laundry too. Are fathers just not going to touch laundry because they have a daughter? Not go outside just in case he catches a glimpse of underwear on the line? "Oh no, my wife is folding clothes - LOOK AWAY!! I MIGHT SEE UNDERWEAR!!'

Yeah if I was a dad I would not rlly care as well and he's your ******* dad as long as he is not a creeper it's not creepy. Like I do my families laundry so I have folded my brothers mothers and dads underwear and sometimes I have had to make sure they are not dirty. And I don't care cuz they are my family
