Today, the love of my life, and long term partner, sat me down and told me that he feels so comfortable in our relationship that he no longer feels the need to have sex with me, and he doesn't think that that will ever change. FML

At that point I'd ask partner if it's okay to find someone else to have sex with. Healthy sexual life makes relationship work better, it gives partners intimate moments, pleasure and relaxation... Why would ever anyone want to stop this?

So when he was having sex with OP he was uncomfortable with the relationship? I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around his logic.

Has he decided to go **** instead of hetro?

Ask for an open relationship. Pair bonding provides benefits to people in society, but humans aren't actually meant to be monogamous. You can stay with the love of your life and still be sexually satisfied.

According to ******** size and how humans are compared to other primates, humans play it both ways. Mostly monogamous with some ability to be promiscuous. Gorillas are very monogamous with smaller testicles (less need for sperm) were chimps are VERY promiscuous and have larger testicles. We're in a small-medium range biologically.

I would be shocked if he isn't getting some on the side. Seriously.

Petraeus-style.

Are you sure he still plays for the same team? Is it possible he has become gay?

I maybe wrong and I'm sorry if I am but when people say partner doesn't it tend to mean they're already in a same sex relationship? That's how it is around here anyways...

You don't become gay.

Something is wrong about that. It sounds kind of like he doesn't have feelings for you anymore (at least not sexually) but doesn't realize it or realizes it and doesn't know how to tell you the truth.

You are awkward in YouTube. But that's not important.

What's ur channel

#61 I'm confused about whether you're telling me I'm awkward and meaning it or just referencing my YouTube username.

He can still love her without wanting sex. Look at adorable elderly couples. Maybe the guy isn't capable of getting it up easily due to a biological reason or for the reason that his partner isn't as attractive in her older age. Love does not equal sex.

True, but to a lot of people, sex is a part of a healthy relationship.

Not true. Firstly, I think you underestimate the number of cute elderly couples who still have sex and secondly, don't blame OP by saying his erectile dysfunctions are caused by her looks, because that's just plain rude. If you truely love your partner, time will not affect your view on his/her body (which is that it's beautiful). So I think that: 1) OP's partner has found out he is gay 2) OP's partner has found out sex is much more fun with another woman 3) OP's partner has found out he is asexual

DJPee, we don't know whether OP is a woman, so there other possibilities. There are even more when you go with the asexual model of sexuality, that one's feelings about sex can change or be anywhere on a scale, rather than being a strict division between "want" and "don't want". Who knows, maybe OP's husband is lithrosexual or simply doesn't see sex as an important thing in the relationship? We don't know enough about the situation.

hate to break it to you, but the op is male... so I dont think being gay is the issue...

Who the hell clicked on YDI for this?

Consider consulting a physician. A loss of sexual interest or ability could signal a serious physical condition the man is not aware of.
