Today, I was working my shift and my ex girlfriend came in to apply for a job. She broke up with me for another guy so i can't stand being in the same room as her. The manager talked to her and decided to hire her on the spot. I need to train her. FML
Today, I went for a job interview. I'd resigned at my current job and applied for somewhere closer to home. They hired me on the spot, and as I was leaving, I saw my abusive ex-boyfriend working in the store. So… now I'm working alongside my ex who abused me for two years. Time to apply elsewhere. FML
Today, my girlfriend who trained me at the job we both work at received a promotion, which left a spot for advancement. I was chosen for the position, and now the guy she's been cheating on me with is training me. Congrats. FML
Today, I found out my boss hired literally the only person in this town who is an ex-boyfriend. I also work with my current boyfriend. FML
Today, my former high school bully became my manager. FML
Today, I found out my ex-boyfriend, who I thought was finally out of my life for good, is now dating my new manager. FML
Today, my obsessive ex, who recently cut my phone line to stop me from talking to my boyfriend of three years, got a job at the same restaurant where both my boyfriend and I work. FML
Today, my manager mentioned that she'd hired a "cute boy" to help me out at work with paperwork. The "cute boy" was my ex-fiancé and now I have to be with him in an office for 30 some hours a week while his current fiancée brings him lunch everyday. FML

Tell management the story. Something like that is usually enough to keep someone from being hired. Note: don't do this if the is really great and you're easily replaceable.

I agree with #43 and #81. Wait and see if she gets the job first and then weigh your options from there. The exboyfriend was a cheating bastard, glad you dumped him. And the other woman is a ***** unless she didn't know about you. Then it wasn't her fault cause he lied to her too. But most of the time the women know about the girlfriend/wife and don't care. bitches. If it were me,If she gets hired I would talk to my boss and try to transfer departments or stores or whatever I could do to get me away from her without quitting. I would quit as a LAST resort. Jobs are scarce and I'm sure you have bills to pay. Granted many have said just get over it, But just because you don't want to be around her and be painfully reminded on a daily basis of what you went through doesn't mean you aren't over it. Some others were right too. If she's a total bitch and became your manager she could totally torture or even try to fire you. It's probably better for your career and your self esteem to get away from her. Good Luck.
