Today, the canteen of the company I work for introduced a cash-less payment method to purchase food. To use it, employees must download the app, which is only available for iPhones. I have a BlackBerry. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I thought it'd be cool and trendy to buy a Blackberry Storm. FML
That'll be Kevin in accounting
Today, just like every other day, my company is so dysfunctional that local food chains require us to pay cash up front for our catering, because we routinely take 6 months or more to pay for a chicken sandwich. FML
Today, I overdrew my account and ended up paying an extra 35 bucks for a 1.99 item. It was an application on the iPhone that is supposed to help me keep track of my money. FML
Donut scandal
Today, in the doughnut shop I usually go to, I bought 3 dozen to take home. A new clerk rang me up and, with an attitude, said the store is cashless only now. Despite me showing cash to pay with like I always do, I was judged by other customers as if I was a deadbeat. She then threw a fit for cancelling and returning the items. FML
Today, I entered a restaurant just to use the WiFi. In order not to look cheap, I ordered a meal and a beverage. The WiFi didn't work and now I don't have enough money to buy dinner. FML
Technology
Today, I used the last dollar in my PayPal Tap to pay to get myself a little something for work lunch. The register glitched just before the transaction finished, but it still took the money. No cash, no lunch. FML
Today, I had to sell my phone to pay for the phone bill. FML
Today, I went to the self-checkout line at Walmart. When I tried to pay, the cash wouldn't go in, so I stood there trying to cram money into the thing that's supposed to take your money. What I didn't realize was that there was a sign up top that said: "No Cash. Cards Only." FML
Losing it
Today, at work, I served a rude ass customer and his bratty ass kid, and was forced to swipe her toy debit card so it appeared as if the daughter paid for her snack. In that moment, I questioned my entire existence. Whichever company invented that toy hates cashiers everywhere. FML
You had one job!
Today, my friends and I went out to dinner. Being short on cash, I suggested a game where we put our phones in the center of the table and first to check their phone had to pay the bill. Our conversation died out, and fearful of having an awkward silence, I checked my phone. FML

If you get hungry you could always eat your blackberry. *waits for downvotes*

As a developer, I find this so annoying just because whenever something is launched - multiple platforms are always considered, especially if it's going live instantly. I completely get testing with one platform. But having working system that targets only specific users.. Really careless.

Maybe talk to the concerned person and work it out?

you sir, are a smart developer to think that way. many people don't see it that way and just decide to bash the other platforms

BlackBerrys can run Android apps anyway.

My company develops employee apps for iPhone and Android. I'm actually in the beta program for two of those apps. They're useless to anyone but Swift truck drivers, but to us drivers they're quite useful.

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
I'm not sure why anyone would want an iPhone anyways. They're complete pieces of shit.

That is true and I hate when a special privilege is put in place. However, that's probably how they save money. If everyone had an iPhone, they would have to wait longer and get less money on the spot. It really sucks...

What about Windows phone...?

Guess you either have to bring your own food or always have cash. It sucks that the app is exclusive. I hate it when people do things like that. It's unfair to the percentage of people to whom those exclusions don't apply.

Card or cash still a option? Lol what if you forget your phone and can't eat .That sucks but most new apps and stuff is usually just apple and android now.
Guy1009 15
Yeah, but this is Apple exclusive currently, according to OP. Even Android users, with more current phones than OPs Blackberry, are getting screwed here.

Actually, Blackberry makes an android phone. It's called the Priv. I'm currently using it even.

They'll see a decline in sales and have to go back, I hope. That does suck, especially if you don't also want to use up all your data on food.

Bring lunch? It'd suck if you forgot tho OP.

Lots of people. When I went in to Verizon to get a new phone, they had a BlackBerry phone (at least one, possibly more). The one I saw was running Android, so it's not like a niche market anymore.

Unless a company is providing their employees with smartphones, I don't see why they would assume that everyone is using the same operating system.
