Today, someone stole my laptop from my car. However, they were nice enough to relock the doors after they smashed in the window. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, someone broke into my car by smashing the driver's side window. I'd be less irritated if they had just used the door handle; the lock has been broken for years. FML
Today, my car was broken into. They broke the passenger side window and took my radio system. But they didn't take the remote for it. FML
Today, I parked my car to go inside to grab my wallet than I'd forgotten. In the short time it took me to do that, someone broke two of my car's windows. FML
Today, after having my car been broken into the day before because I didn't lock it, I made sure I locked my doors. When I got off shift and entered the parking lot, I noticed a brick had been thrown through my windshield and a note that said, "Nice Try". FML
Today, I took my new laptop into my house from my car, thinking it would be a too much of a target for kids grabbing it. I came home tonight to find my door kicked in, my laptop gone and my TV ripped from the wall. FML
Today, I replaced my car's windscreen wipers, after someone stole the last pair. After I finished, I went indoors for a drink. When I returned, the new ones had been stolen too. FML
Vandals!
Today, I wanted to go shopping in my new car that I bought just a month ago. When I stepped outside, I saw someone had smashed the driver side's window. They didn't even steal anything. FML
Smart criminals
Today, I came out to find my truck window broken. They broke into my truck to yank out the stereo. It was unlocked the whole time. FML
Today, I woke up to the sound of my car being stolen. FML
Today, I went out to start my car to go to work. When it wouldn't start, I popped the hood to see what was wrong. Some kind individual took advantage of the fact that my window doesn't roll up, and stole my battery. FML

I read it as OP left the doors unlocked in the first place...

things like these happen for a reason. It's a life lesson and note you've learned to not leave your laptop I'm an open area and it's best to probably leave it in the trunk if at all. Sorry OP I hope they catch them. Oh and very nice thieves if I might add.

I like how we say "Never leave your belongings in sight" instead of "don't steal", its not your fault op the world is just a shitty place.

its your fault if you don't understand the world you live in. grow up. leave your phone on a table and walk away. noones going to take it because it's stealing. lmao

sounds like you and the other op that got robbed and find a dump in his toilet could have a good convo about weird things robbers do.

I don't think they ever unlocked it, probably just took it through the window. Sorry OP, but I don't think they're as nice as you thought, FYL, hope you find the robber

Plot twist: they never unlocked them!
