Today, my phone ran out of space, so I downloaded an app to store all my photos online. After everything transferred, I deleted the 1,000+ photos from my phone, along with the "recently deleted" file since it was also taking up space. The app is now empty of all "downloaded photos". FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my butt decided to delete the 650 photos I had on my phone. FML
Restore device
Today, I woke up to find out that my phone, which contained all of my pictures and videos from the past year, had completely crashed. Despite trying everything, I couldn't recover any of the data, even from the cloud backup. All those memories, gone forever. FML
Today, I got home from a family trip to Disney World. I had taken nearly 300 photos of our trip on my new digital camera. As our car pulled into the driveway, I was using my camera to try to delete one unflattering shot of me. I accidentally deleted every picture off the memory card. FML
Today, I deleted a load of junk that was messing up my mother's computer. I don't know how I'm going to tell her I accidentally wiped out all of her wedding photos. FML
Today, after getting a new haircut, I decided to take a few photos. I set up my iPhone in my room and began posing. It wasn't until numerous shots later that I realized my phone had posted every picture to Facebook, and they were all over everyone's newsfeed. FML
Life goes on
Today, I found an old photo album in my Facebook account, which had pictures of previous hangouts with people I called friends at the time. I deleted it because they progressively cut ties with me over time. FML
Today, I lost two terabytes' worth of photos to a friend's incompetence. He said he could save me some money and fix my slow computer for free. He ended up wiping the hard drive, and along with it, my photography portfolio from the last five years. FML
File vs. Folder
Today, I accidentally deleted my landlord's pictures of his child's graduation, girlfriend, daughter, and vacation when he asked me to delete a video off his phone. FML
Today, my friends and I were messing around with an app on my phone that makes your picture look fat. My picture looked the same before and after. FML
Today, I was trying to show my mother how much detail I'd put into a group project that I had to present tomorrow. I then deleted the project, thinking that I was just removing it from my phone. Everyone's research and my three days of hard work went with it. FML

Assuming you have a smart phone, you should be able to move future photos to your computer- if you have one- using you charging cable (if it is a USB cable) by plugging it into the USB port. Use it as a media device, and you should be able to move them. If you don't have a computer, but do have a USB charging cable, get a USB flash Drive, go to a public library, and use both as media devices. You should be able to move the photos from your phone to the USB cable. I'm sorry that you lost your photos.

How hard would it have been to plug your phone into your computer and transfer the 1000+ photos to a hard drive? You mentioned using an 'app', so I can tell it's at least a smart-phone. Apple, Android, and Windows phones will all quite happily connect to your computer over USB, and old-school hard-drives are fairly cheap storage.
