File vs. Folder

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I created a shared album with over a 1000 pictures and videos from a romantic vacation with my girlfriend of 3 months. Later, I got an angry text from my ex. It seems I accidentally added everything to a shared work-related album with my ex, which I didn't realise I had. My ex thinks I did it on purpose. FML
Today, my husband accidentally erased some pictures from our hard drive. No worries, nothing major: just everything from our wedding and the birth of our first child. FML
Today, I was at a wedding. After videotaping the ceremony for a few minutes, my memory was full. I went to delete another video. I accidentally played the loudest video I had. No one was looking at the bride or groom anymore. FML
Today, I deleted a load of junk that was messing up my mother's computer. I don't know how I'm going to tell her I accidentally wiped out all of her wedding photos. FML
Today, I accidentally deleted my YouTube account because I was trying to eliminate distractions from school. My dumb self eventually realized all I had to do was stop uploading, and return to it during my vacation. FML
Today, my girlfriend went through my phone and computer and deleted all my videos and photos of my high school girlfriend, who died when she was only 16. Her excuse was that keeping those photos was emotional cheating. FML
Today, I replaced a usually fun collegue's picture of his kids with a picture of my face against glass, so it looked I was inside the screen. Everyone laughed, but he reported me because I tried to "erase his children" and "if anything happens to them" it's now my fault. FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend of several months to post a picture of us. He deleted his Facebook instead. FML
Today, I asked a woman to take a picture of me and my girlfriend kissing on the beach. When I looked up, the woman and my phone were gone. FML
Today, a teacher asked me to edit a video of her class. Unfamiliar with cameras that work with video tape, I accidentally recorded over her video. The footage is impossible for me to get back. FML

If pictures were stored in memory card then there's a chance it can be restored otherwise you're gonna need to find a new place. sorry op

That sucks. Hopefully there's a backup he can retrieve the pictures from.

Not necessarily. many phones, especially Samsungs, come with cloud storage back ups to keep these things from happening. there were like three thst came downloaded into my phone and mines a galaxy s4. so not super up to date even. several times a day it will immediately back up any new pictures to my Google drive all because I must have consented to it at some point. truth is most people's phones do this now days. so beware for your nudes people. not as easy to get rid of as they appear. ;)

38, not everyone wants their battery drained and their photos uploaded. You can get software called Recuva which will restore data from memory cards etc as long as that data location hasn't already been overwritten.

Recuva works brilliantly - I'd managed to delete 800 photos from my memory card - all back using Recuva (as well as all my previously deleted photos)

Yea, but who asks someone else to delete a video on their own phone? Why ask someone else to do it for you? The landlord was asking for it.
Paws_Cat 29
OP probably took the video, and the landlord asked them to delete it while they still had the phone.
zykrithium 22
Yeah either OP is lying or he's even more inept with technology than his boss is.

This FML sounds a bit sarcastic to me. Like it was OP's intention to delete all his pictures.

I just don't understand how you accidentally do that though

On some phones there's a "delete all" or "clear" option, one miss click and everything could go wrong

Ouch. Hopefully he doesn't delete you as a tenant...

But did you delete the video you were supposed to get rid of

Nowadays most phones tend to have a 'deleted photos' folder. Most of my friends don't know that either and you can find all sorts of hidden gems in there!

How the **** did you manage that
americanafrican 32
how did that even happen?
