Today, my overweight colleague twisted his ankle. He's pretty self-conscious about his weight, but I had a brain-fart and told him he shouldn't try to put too much weight on it. His feelings are more hurt than his ankle now. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was feeling down because I always think that I'm overweight. My boyfriend tried to prove me wrong by lifting me up. I threw his back out. FML
Shelved plans
Today, after spending two hard months losing 20 pounds of my 80 pound goal, I was actually excited to exercise. After I was done exercising, I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle. FML
Today, a coworker told me I was "fat shaming" them by discussing weight loss with other coworkers. FML
Slipping up
Today, I slipped and sprained my ankle while shopping for a present for my husband, who later came home and tripped over my elevated leg, hurting my ankle again. Now I have an excruciating sprain, and a spouse who's furious at me because, I "shouldn't have tried to surprise him." FML
Cheer up!
Today, while trying to comfort my little brother who just injured his leg, I tripped and sprained my ankle. At least he was amused. FML
Today, I noticed quite a few scars on one of my coworker's legs. I pulled her aside and told her that self-harm was never the answer, and if she needed to talk I was always there. Turns out she's just clumsy and trips a lot. FML
Today, my legs were really sore from working out yesterday, so it hurt going down the stairs at work. To avoid the pain, l ignored how stupid I looked and limped down the staircase. When I finally got to the bottom, I hopped off the last step. And twisted my ankle. FML
Today, I decided to begin jogging since my weight was getting a little out of control and I wanted to do something about it. Guess who tripped on a root and broke their ankle? Yeah. Exactly. FML
Desks are so judgmental these days!
Today, I was promptly told to lose weight today by my computer desk when it broke under the weight of my leg. FML
Badass
Today, my friend invited me to his boxing club for the first time. Since I'm somewhat short and scrawny-looking, he was worried that the workout would be too difficult for me. I waved him off and told him that I was tougher than I looked. Five minutes into class, I sprained my ankle. FML

That's a typical thing to say about an injury. He should know that, and it shouldn't affect your ability to speak normally.

Don't worry if he complains about you to human resources, he doesn't have a leg to stand on

Tell him you meant nothing by it, just trying to help. If he doesn't believe just move on, nothing you can do about it now OP

Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
Maybe buy him some chocolate to make it up? Ps. I'm an overweight person myself, I'm sure he'd love it, well I would xD

OP shouldn't have to give him chocolates because they didn't do anything wrong. They gave simple advice and cant help it if it offends him in a way OP didn't mean too.

Look at what offended him, I think the chocolates might be even more offensive to this poor guy's self esteem.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Yeah, that's not discriminatory at all. It's just sound advice. If he takes issue with it, that's him overreacting.

I kind have wish it was intentional. That would be a good burn if you two were close enough to make fun of each other.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer!

Oh please. He's being a little too sensitive over common advice. He needs to go see a doctor about losing weight if he's that worried about it.

That's normal to tell someone not to put too much weight on their foot. I hope they feel better and I hope your working relationship isn't ruined.

He needs to man up and quit being a sensitive baby.

It doesnt matter what age or gender you are, we all have insecurities. Some more than others.

Most people who are overweight knows they are. Only thing is, sometimes they need help to get started and don't really know where to begin or too afraid to ask. I've seen big people out running and they may not be running fast but I applaud them for being outside trying. I would never make fun of someone who's at the gym or running outside because they're taking the first step of becoming a better person.

I wish the world had more people like you. Thank you for the smile on a crappy day.

My only problem with this is that it sounds like those are the only conditions in which you wouldn't make fun of a fat person. Regardless of what they're doing, you shouldn't make fun of anyone. Their weight is none of your business.

I guess you just couldn't sugarcoat it.
