Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I decided to turn my life around and start exercising more. I didn't even make it out the door before I tripped and fractured my ankle. FML
Today, I decided to begin jogging since my weight was getting a little out of control and I wanted to do something about it. Guess who tripped on a root and broke their ankle? Yeah. Exactly. FML
Today, after a month and a half of recovering from a sprained ankle, I was back in the gym training. After a grueling, sweaty session on the treadmill, I tripped walking down the stairs which sprained my other ankle. Back to round one. FML
Today, I decided to be healthy and go for a run. I broke my ankle. FML
Today, I decided to start jogging and exercising, so I had a wonderful workout before work. Then I broke my foot at work. Goodbye exercising. FML
Today, I fell down my backyard steps at my own housewarming party, ended up breaking my ankle, and am now non-weight bearing for 10 weeks. I'm supposed to start a new job tomorrow, where I'm always on my feet. FML
Today, after a month of things going wrong in my life and finally getting better, I woke up refreshed and ready to face the day. Then, I fell down the stairs. FML
Today, my legs were really sore from working out yesterday, so it hurt going down the stairs at work. To avoid the pain, l ignored how stupid I looked and limped down the staircase. When I finally got to the bottom, I hopped off the last step. And twisted my ankle. FML
Today, I was at the gym, feeling pretty proud of myself for working out consistently for the past month. As I was about to grab a towel, I tripped and landed face-first into a pile of gym mats. People turned to look, and all I could do was try to laugh it off through the pain of what turned out to be a sprained ankle. FML
Today, I had a great workout and was feeling really good about my body. Until I sat on my desk, and broke it. FML

You have shown endurance (2 months already) and a realistic goal (1 kg or 2 pounds per week). I'm pretty sure for you this is only a temporary setback and in a few more months you will reach your goal.

I hope you can keep exercising by swimming until your ankle heals. It would be sad if your weight-loss momentum were lost due to the injury.

I was able to lose that much weight by just having gallstone surgery, and a gallbladder removal surgery. Didn't eat for four days. It was much less painful than I expected.

What does that have to do with OP's situation? Been there OP, I've broken my collar bone twice and ankle once- it always seems to happen when I'm getting really excited to work out and improve my life. Keep the ball rolling with any exercises you can do without using that part of your body. After your pain is manageable of course.

I broke a bone in my foot right after graduating college in May. I wanted to begin focusing on my health since it’s always been education constantly. So, I know how you feel, and it definitely sucks. I still can’t do exercise involving my feet.

Sounds good, and it's good that you've set a goal, and it sounds like you're focused enough to make it. I managed to lose 25 kg in five weeks some years ago, so if it's primarily weight-loss you want, I could recommend getting into a coma - but be aware there may be some side-effects...

Ouch! I hope you don’t let that stop you from accomplishing your weight loss goal. There’s other ways you can exercise without using your broken ankle.

Congrats! Now, you don't need your ankle to exercise. Find some workouts not involving it. The only important thing is regularity. Even if it's less than what you've done so far, you need to keep your body moving.
