Today, my mom once again commented on how I need to work out. It has come to the point that I now walk around in exercise clothes and have a bottle of water/fake sweat to put on, just so she thinks I work out. This is how lazy I am. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
You tried
Today, I was told how cruel and selfish I am for rubbing my weight loss in my mom’s face. I’ve literally begged my mom to walk, jog, workout with me for months. She went exactly once. She complained the whole time, then called me a bitch for finishing my run while she sat in the car. FML
Today, my mother admitted to me that she sends me up and down the stairs to get things for her because she thinks I could use the exercise. FML
Cautionary tale
Today, I had trouble carrying a box upstairs because my arms were sore from working out. My mom asked me, "Why are you working out so much then?" I didn't have the heart to tell her it was because of her 100-pound weight gain and that I didn't want to end up looking like her. FML
Today, I walked downstairs in a new outfit, after dieting for 3 months, and losing just over 20 pounds. My mom took one look at me and said "You'd better keep going." FML
Mother knows best
Today, while visiting my parents, I observed that I've been able to visit more often because I've avoided getting sick the whole year. My mother responded by reminding me that I need to get my act together if I'm going to lose weight and get healthier. Not the reaction I hoped for, Mom. FML
Tact
Today, my mother offered to give my overweight girlfriend the workout DVDs that she no longer needs. FML
Today, my mum was saying she needs to gain weight because she was underweight according to her doctor. She then said she's going to eat like me in order to gain more weight. FML
Today, my boyfriend's mother called me lazy. Her days consist of sitting on her couch watching Fox News. I'm a college athlete who also has a part-time job, yet I'm the lazy one. FML
Hitting the gym
Today, I told my dad I was gonna to start working out again. He looked at me with honest confusion on his face and said, "You worked out before?" My mother started laughing. She was all the way upstairs. FML
Today, I asked my mom if she thought I looked skinny in my shorts. She jiggled my leg fat, looked up at me and walked away. FML

I would probably take the even lazier route of just ignoring it.

This is indeed sad.

Working out is easy. Just grab a treadmille and jog 5 miles. If you want the abs and crab then have fun, but it doesn't always look good.

I think it would be if you were constantly getting nagged to do it. OP should be working out because she wants to not because she's being told to.

Gotta love people who spend more effort avoiding a task than it would take to simply do it in the first place.

You should really put effort into trying to work out. When you see results you feel so much better about yourself and it's kind of fun. I used to hate it but now it's fun and is a good thing to do especially when I'm mad I find I burn more calories and I'm a bit more energetic

109- In what universe can you just "grab a treadmill" to work out?! I know what you're getting at, the wording just made me chuckle.

You put in that much effort to be lazy? Just spend 20 minutes doing yoga, or put on your favorite tunes and dance around the house
