Today, my mom left for a business trip. Thinking it was a good time to throw a party, I mass messaged everyone on my contact list. I thought it was going to be a success. The problem with this? My mom is on my contacts list. She replied "I'll be home in an hour. You're grounded." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I sent a forward to everyone in my phonebook saying, "HOUSE PARTY-NO PARENTS, LOTS OF ALCOHOL, MAYBE A CHANCE TO HOOK UP." I then got a reply from my mom saying, "I'm probably the only one that would show up." Even my mom thinks I'm a loser, and I'm now grounded for 3 weeks. FML
Today, I checked my Facebook to find I had been tagged in a bunch of photos from a party I had attended last night. On each picture I had a comment from my mom saying, "You're grounded." FML
Today, my mom added me on Facebook. She wrote on my wall, for the whole world to see, "Why are you swearing on the internet?! You're grounded". FML
Today, I was house sitting by myself and I texted my mom saying how thankful I was that she was trusting me and not checking up on me. That night I threw a party at the house. My mom showed up to check on me because my text was "suspicious". FML
Today, I talked to my mom about hanging out with her. She got out her phone to schedule an appointment. FML
Today, my mom took my cell to work with her. When she got home later, she scolded me for not answering her calls. When I pointed out that she'd taken it, she grounded me for "talking back". FML
Today, I found out that the messages about the issues in my sex life that I'd been sending to my best friend had been sent to my mother via iMessage. She's coming over for dinner tomorrow. FML
Today, I got grounded because I didn't send my aunt a Mother's Day present. Not only is she not married she doesn't have kids. FML
Today, I briefly left my laptop while I went to use the toilet. When I came back, I found "I" had posted on Facebook, calling my mom a "stupid cunt who should just stay in the kitchen." The only other person home at the time was my grandpa. She didn't believe it, and permanently grounded me. FML
Today, it's my mom's birthday. I woke up at midnight to be the first to tell her happy birthday. When I awoke in the morning, I decided to bake her a cake. Little did I know my whole family was going out to lunch to celebrate. I wasn't invited. FML

You are a buffoon.

be glad you didnt throw the party. A mass.text of people, who would have texted their friends and so on. Your parents' house would have been vandalized, stuff stolen, and you would have been cleaning up piss, shit, vomit, beer cans, food ground into the carpet...etc

OP have some.******* common decency. Imagine some kid threw a massive party at your house, which you pay for with your hard earned money. And you come home from a trip only to.discover your house and belongings in ruins, and/or stolen.

Dummy!! You should respect your mom enough to not throw a party
_words_of_wisdom 4
so many people saying "YDI you should respect your parents blah blah blah im an over protective parent blah blah" yes you should respect your parents but there is nothing wrong with throwing a party when your parents arent home as long as nothing gets stolen or broken and you get it cleaned up before they get home. this is the time to throw parties and be fun and crazy, live it up while you still can. the only thing you did wrong is put your parents in your contact list. they live in the same house as you, why would you need your mom in your contact list???

Most people have their parents' names in their cell phones, so they can call/be called when needed. In fact, most parents give their kids cell phones just for that reason. As for the house, I agree... So long as you have your parents' permission. If you worked your ass off to pay for the house, bills, repairs, and mortgage, would you appreciate your kid throwing a party without your knowledge? I doubt it. There is NO way to be certain that your belongings won't be broken or stolen or that something won't spill on the carpet or expensive furniture, and guess what? If there is anything illegal going on (weed, minors drinking, etc.) and the cops or neighbors find out, the parent can be charged.

I'm guessing #141 is a minor who's never had to pay for anything significant before, because just about anyone who's had to pay for their own place would agree that it would piss them off if a bunch of brats went wild in it while they were out. It's not your house, it's your parents'. You don't get to do whatever you want in it.

You ARE NOT entitled to throw parties in your parents home as soon as they leave you alone for ten seconds. Grow up and earn the trust that you currently don't deserve.

Way to be a disrespectful bitch/bastard, left alone for 10 seconds and instantly think to throw a party? c'mon, that's something retarded frat-boys do.
