Today, my husband kindly offered to take me on a brewery tour. Turned out the brewery is owned by his ex-girlfriend and there was no tour after all. Just me standing awkwardly for 25 minutes while he chatted to her about her family and stuff they used to do together. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
QR code madness
Today, I was gonna take my ex to a concert, but we broke up before it so instead I went with my Tinder date. When I got to the venue, my ticket was already used. My ex was in there. My date never got in. FML
Today, I went on a date for the first time in ages, only to realize that the guy I was seeing chose to take us to a specific restaurant in able to stalk his ex. FML
Today, my date bumped into her ex-husband, who decided to join us for the rest of the dinner. FML
Today, after breaking up with my boyfriend, some of my friends decided to take me to a comedy club for a girls night. My friend's jealous husband decided he had to come along, then decided to invite my other friends' boyfriends. I ended up being the seventh wheel on a night meant to cheer me up. FML
Keeping up with the Joneses
Today, I met my ex from the college, and he invited me to dinner. Back then, he was rude and a bit abusive, but I agreed anyway. The man I saw today is loving, caring and fun, with a good job, and I really liked his wife. On the other hand, I'm between jobs, and my relationship's turned into the utter bore. FML
Small town
Today, I took a date to a new restaurant I’d never been to before. Wish I had been because it turns out two of my ex-girlfriends work there as waitresses. Luckily they were amicable break-ups, but it was still hella awkward every time they brought stuff to the table. FML
So frustrating!
Today, I tried to have a fun night out. I met a guy and we went back to "his" place, which turned out to actually be his mother's house. He introduced me to her. Two hours later, I knew his life story and had to do the walk of shame without ever getting anywhere near his bedroom. FML
Today, I was meeting my husband's old friends at his 20 year high school reunion. He introduced me as his 'friend from work' to his ex girlfriend. FML
Let's not do this again someday
Today, I went on what I thought was a solo outing with my longtime crush. He decided to invite a friend along. I had to pick her up half an hour away from town, he treated her to the movie we were watching while I had to pay for myself, he fingered her in the theatre, and made out with her on the drive home. FML
Dating is hell
Today, I got stood up on a date. To add insult to injury, meeting up was her idea. FML

It's one thing to just chat with an ex but to lie about it with you there is just another level of stupid on top of being an asshole.

I'm just curious as to why he did that at all, he could've talked to her without you being there. He didn't need to lie to you

Maybe he thought there would be a tour and then it just didn't happen because he was talking to the ex?

Maybe he wanted to talk to his ex but didn't want his current girlfriend to find out and accuse him of anything. Sort of a "you were there the whole time so you know it was fine" kind of thing. Or maybe he wanted to make his ex jealous by showing off the girlfriend. Or maybe he didn't trust himself with his ex alone but he still wanted to talk to her. Or maybe he really did think there was a tour and since there wasn't, they ended up talking. Still, super weird to bring your current girlfriend to your ex's place of business. Edit--I read this wrong and thought they were just dating. It's way way worse that they're married and did this. This is a no go.

I'm kinda leaning toward YDI on this one. I get it, English people don't want to make a scene or anything, but this would have been a perfectly acceptable time to walk up and be like "YEAH HI. I'm Jack's WIFE. It's nice to meet you and all, but we need TO GO." It would be one thing if you guys were dating, but your husband??? No, girl. Don't put up with that.

Definitely agreed. Not ok, I wouldn't put up with my boyfriend doing that let alone my HUSBAND.

Exactly right. He's gone to some lengths here to see her. I agree with what someone said before. It seems like he's hiding in plain sight so he can say, "look, we're just talking, nothing to see here". The wife sort-of has her hands tied though. If she calls him out on it, what's he going to say? "What? I can't talk to other girls now?" or "We were just talking!" or "What? I didn't know there was no tour! I may as well talk to her anyway!" I don't really know what to think! Maybe I'm damaged...

If he wanted to visit her, why did he think it was necessary to bring you along?

Don't stand awkwardly. Order drinks, for Christ's sake.
