Today, my husband and I have been trying to buy a house and start a family together. Now I find out that he just spent $5000 on comic books. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall!
Today, my husband pre-ordered $500 worth of Transformers figures. We're supposed to be trying to save up for a house. FML
Today, I confronted my husband over the fact that despite me working two jobs to support us for the last three years, we're nowhere near our goal of buying a house. He actually had the brass balls to defend pissing my money down the drain on his ceramic cat collection. FML
Amazon addict
Today, I found out my husband spent us into overdraft charges through compulsive online shopping. Again. FML
Value
Today, I got home from work to find my wife asleep in her easy chair with my two year old son asleep in a pile of torn-up paper. I soon found out it was my 1960s collection of a Superman comic book series that I inherited from my dad. It was worth well over $2,000. FML
Today, my husband called me from the store, trying to decide whether or not to buy the new games console he's been wanting. I'd already purchased one and hid it, ready for Christmas Day. I couldn't talk him into not buying himself one. There goes a $500 surprise. FML
Today, I found out that my unemployed husband has his own web-comic, that he makes money off it, and that it mainly involves the main character's airhead, money-grubbing wife ruining his life. She looks strikingly like me and shares my name. FML
Today, my fiancé and I had a fight over household expenses. He's never had a job in his life, but this didn't stop him demanding that I get another full-time job to pay for video games and beer. FML
Today, my husband asked to borrow money. He couldn't pay his half of the rent or utilities this month, but he did manage to buy a $1,700 radio. FML
Checks and balances
Today, I found out my husband has racked up $3000 on our credit cards, and ruined my credit score. When confronted, all he had to say was, "Well you didn't tell me when you bought that ten-dollar t-shirt, so I guess we're even." FML
Today, my husband used our last $2000 to buy himself a motorcycle. It's supposed to "save us a lot on gas money." FML

And how much have you spent on shoes?

I have to admit I thought of my girlfriend there :) I always give her that line when I buy comic books lol

Through my whole life I've never spent $5000 on shoes and certainly not all at once. Just saying.

And I've never spent $5000 on comics, though I am a comic fan. THIS comic fan spent that much, but I'm sure there are girls out there who have spent well over 5 grand on shoes.

My whole life, I've spent about 200 dollars on shoes. Not all at once. Just cheap 5 dollar canvas shoes are perfect.

You married a child.

Well if the husband is a child, then that means OP is a pedophile. The husband should be damned before he will sit there and e lectured to by a pervert!

You are an idiot. So he likes comics, are women children for liking shoes (just an example)? And don't give me that "We don't spend 5 grand on shoes" bs, because we both know that there are women out there who do.

Perhaps he thought the bank accepted comics as a down payment? That sucks though =/

In Chicago the other day, some stripper wanted 30. I said "Have a good evening sweetie." Not worth it. She was drunk... or maybe I was.
