Today, my gran came over for dinner, for which I had to go grab some supplies from the supermarket. I guess I should have locked my laptop, because when I came back, I found my gran had used my Facebook account to propose to my now-ecstatic girlfriend. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I briefly left my laptop while I went to use the toilet. When I came back, I found "I" had posted on Facebook, calling my mom a "stupid cunt who should just stay in the kitchen." The only other person home at the time was my grandpa. She didn't believe it, and permanently grounded me. FML
Today, I came home from work to find my grandmother in my living room, demanding to know where I'd been all day. I'm 22 and live by myself. She stole my mother's emergency key to get in. FML
Today, I saw my grandma had registered on Facebook, so I wrote a welcome post on her wall. She replied "Delete." several times, then called me, accusing me of "hacking" her and demanding that I remove my name from her page at once. FML
Today, my girlfriend thought it would be funny to go to the Apple store and log me on to Facebook on every single computer. FML
Good one, Meemaw
Today, I was teaching my grandma how to use her new tablet. After explaining and setting everything up, I left her alone to check her email. When I came back, she'd somehow "mistakenly" sent an email to our entire family with the subject line "Help! My grandson thinks I'm a dipshit and has kidnapped me!" FML
She's lost control
Today, I found out that my husband proposed to his girlfriend, and that her mom had posted it on Facebook. FML
Suspicious activity
Today, I visited my girlfriend's apartment for the first time. I guess she forgot to do some spring cleaning before I showed up, because I saw my laptop on her couch. The same laptop that was stolen from my house along with several other valuables last week. FML
I've been… held up
Today, I was finally able to see my gran for the first time since lockdown. She told me off for not visiting sooner. FML
Today, I took my girlfriend to a family dinner. Things went great, until my grandma arrived. She thought it would be okay to continue our friendly prank war by congratulating me on my "wife's" pregnancy. My girlfriend actually believed it, and now thinks she's the "other woman". FML
Today, I enjoyed a lovely family dinner, but my irritating grandma kept trying to buy my purse off me, and kept picking it up to look at it. When I got home I realized all my cash and cigarettes were gone. FML

I'm not sure if I'm more disappointed in your grandma or your girlfriend for accepting a proposal on Facebook.

Today, my boyfriend proposed to me on Facebook, then took it back, claiming it was his grandmother. FML

I think That was a horrible thing to do that's a big step I. His life why would he want someone to decide that for him what if this causes a big argument in his relationship and could break them up that was not for her to decide there is no way to validate her reasons for doing that shame on her so what if she his granny that shouldn't change the fact that it was bad

After all... Who proposes with Facebook?
CallMeMcFeelii 14
People propose over all sorts of shit nowadays. You got those WoW people who do it over a raid, I heard of some guy doing it over Xbox Live. So honestly, Facebook isn't quite that bad. It's better than twitter I'd say. "Oh my gosh, how'd he do it? Did he take you to a fancy restaurant?" "No.. He sent out a tweet.." "What a gentleman!"

I wonder if his grandmother changed his status too?

You'd think the girlfriend would call him and confirm it was actually him and not just a friend (or rogue granny) playing a joke.

Maybe she was desperately waiting for him to pop the question for a while and just ate it up.

Ouch, I'm sorry. I hope you have enough money saved up to buy a spur of the moment ring.

Unless, of course, he doesn't want to get married. I think it would be better to try to explain everything instead of just going along with it.

That was sarcasm.

Here we go again...

Yeah could you imagine 50 years down the road? "Oh by the way, my grandmother proposed...not me. I was at the store, but completely avoided it because I don't like conflicts...so....here we are." Great story for the grandkids. Yes I understand it was sarcasm....but I still think it would be funny.

(zoidberg voice) Your sarcasm is bad and you should feel bad.

Who the hell accepts a "wedding proposal" over Facebook...?
Yakostovian 18
Edit: Removed evidence of my dumb-ass not reading clearly.
Natashazie 12
Only people who are dumb would accept a proposal like that. It's like proposing to your girlfriend when you're drunk. It doesnt make sense
SymphonyGrrl 12
Damn, through Facebook? Granny could have at least sent flowers!
Metallica36176 16
Or at least something she needed on Farmville or Cityville. Come on, you have to have SOMETHING to propose with.

Sneaky gran strikes again! She isn't a cuntwaffle, OP. She's an old aged prankster!

So long as the old hag pays for the ring and wedding, my regards to the betrothed.
