Today, I fell in love with a girl who used to love me. She doesn't anymore. FML
Today, I told the girl I've been seeing for a while about the strong feelings that I have for her and that I was falling in love. She told me my words made her realize what it felt like to be in love. My words were so powerful, in fact, that she ran right back into the arms of her ex boyfriend. FML
Today, I realized that I might be falling for a girl. She's fucking beautiful. She can't love me, I'm not good enough for her, and she's in love with someone else. Besides, I have a girlfriend but it never seems like we're close and I don't even know if I had a crush on her before, but I still love her as a friend and can't break her heart. FML
Today, I found that the only two people I've ever been in love with fell in love with one another. FML
Today, my girlfriend told me she loved me for the first time. Unfortunately, it was her way of saying that she didn't want to lose me after cheating on me yesterday. FML

Today, my girlfriend confessed that she'd leave me for her ex in a heartbeat. Tomorrow is, or should I say "was", our wedding day. FML
Today, I found out the girl I like is in love with someone else. Five weeks ago, she told me she's never been in love. FML

Not true though, but the only advice I can give you is just try moving on, and you'll eventually find yourself falling for someone else

I don't know much about these things but this could have come about as part of a conversation where she is trying to be honest and say that sometimes you can love the ideal of a person. I think you can be in love with people at the same time and love one person a lot more than another. Maybe she worded it badly and meant that a piece of her will not forget their time together and wishes it could have been different, but it wasn't?

That's what I was thinking. I have a few old ex's that I think that I still love at least a little bit, but nowhere near as much as I love the person I'm currently dating. While it may not be true that you always love people you used to be with, I don't think this should be a deal breaker, and OP should just have a long talk with her about this.

I agree. not everyone works out in relationships but that doesn't stop you from caring about or having love for someone. Maybe she loves her ex but is IN love with Op. There is a major difference.
