Today, my girlfriend of over four years cheated on me in revenge for me abandoning our date last night. I'm a surgeon on call at the local hospital. FML

Today, my girlfriend missed our date, so I angrily texted her, telling her if she can't make our dates then we should break up, and generally telling her off. Five minutes later I get a picture of her sleeping in a hospital bed from her mother, saying, "Shut the fuck up, she had appendicitis." FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because I cancelled our date tonight. I cancelled because I had a seizure and was taken to the hospital. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me for months. It all started while I was in the hospital, he says, because we were supposed to go out that day, but then I "had to go and get sick." He blames my emergency surgery for his infidelity. FML
Today, I found out my boyfriend is cheating on me. The worst part is I’m currently stuck in his house and can’t even deal with a fight right now. Why? Because I just had surgery this morning. FML
Today, after being in the hospital for two weeks after emergency abdominal surgery, my girlfriend, who didn't even bother to ask how I was, made me hobble to her house just to dump me and send me straight back home. FML
Today, after spending three weeks in the hospital for a kidney infection, I found out the girl I have been dating now has a girlfriend. I guess that’s why she couldn’t visit me this whole time. FML
Today, my girlfriend slapped me and dumped me because she thought I was gay, simply because I had to miss a date because one of my guy friends was in a car accident, and I went to see him at the hospital. FML
Today, my psycho ex crashed a date with my girlfriend. She acted like we were still together and made a big show of dumping me for cheating on her. My actual girlfriend bought it hook line and sinker. Now I'm single again. FML
Today, my girlfriend dumped me via text message. The sad thing is that I left my fiancée of 5 years to be with a girl I worked with at Walmart. My ex-fiancée is now a doctor. I still work at Walmart. FML
Today, I caught my girlfriend cheating on me. Now she's threatening to kill herself if I don't forgive her. FML

She *cheated on you* because she can't deal with the mild inconveniences of being with an accomplished surgeon?? She throws a hissy fit by sleeping around??? And forget that, she's also so selfish and self-centered that she can't understand somebody placing their *life-saving responsibilities* over a single date??? While knowing it's their turn to be on-call?? She's a shallow, pitiful excuse for a woman then. Dump her. In a ditch. With a kidney or a liver missing. And right afterwards, when she's in the emergency room and needs a surgeon, tell her you can't make it because you're on a date.

My parents are doctors and when I lived at home, it always seemed if they weren't working, they were on call and got called in to work. Sucks for you OP, maybe you can be lucky enough to date another doctor. Since you both will understand each other's work situations and relate to each other better.

AGH I know im posting again but this level of petty selfishness just makes me so angry! Seriously OP DON'T try to work things out, they CAN'T be worked out with such a petty, selfish human being. DROP HER. AND NEVER TAKE HER BACK. There are good, wholesome people out there who will be worth your time and will be loving, caring and able to GIVE something to the relationship instead of just LEECHING OFF your time, love and resources with the level of abandon that this excuse for a human being has. She's a black hole, a shell of a person, who feeds off of their partner's mental, emotional and financial health because she doesn't know what it takes and what it means to give instead of taking.
