Today, my father took me out for some driving lessons. I accidentally reversed while still in the driveway, and I instinctively hit the brakes. In my panic, I accidentally let go of the brakes, and ended up reversing straight into our house, all while my father yelled "NOOOOOO!" FML

Today, I borrowed my dad's car to run a quick errand, which he never lets me do. I thought I’d got away with it until he got home and started yelling. I forgot, dad always reverses into driveways, while I prefer to drive straight in, and I'd parked his car facing the wrong way. FML
Today, the day after I bragged about never having a car accident in my life, I mistakenly put my car into Drive instead of Reverse and crashed into my own house. FML
Today, I accidentally crashed my mom's car into my dad's car. FML
Today, my dad trusted me to go driving by myself in his car. I foolishly celebrated by doing a jump heel click, landed awkwardly, threw my hand out to stop myself falling, and scraped the whole bunch of keys down the driver's door. He trusted me for like 3 seconds and I blew it. FML
Today, I was nervous as hell for my driving test. The instructor told me to drive a straight line in reverse. I forgot to put the car in reverse from drive and drove straight into a parked vehicle. Which happened to be owned by the instructor. FML
Today, I went to take my driver's test, and I did almost everything perfectly. The last thing was to back into a driveway. As I went to put my hand on the passenger seat to look over my shoulder, I got so nervous that I hit my instructor in the face. FML
Today, I was at my friend's house. It was dark and downpouring so I couldn't see as I was backing out of his driveway. I made it out, but then my phone went off, scaring me, and I accidentally hit the gas pedal, hitting his neighbor's parked car. Turns out he called to warn me to watch out for it. FML
Today, I was giving my son a driving lesson. He blatantly ran a red light, so I told him to pull over to let me drive us home. As I walked over to the driver-side door, he instead locked me out and drove off by himself. FML
Today, my dad was driving me to college. I'd cracked a joke about how old people like him shouldn't be allowed to drive, and I guess he took it personally, what with him speeding straight up to the parking lot wall, and only braking after I started shrieking in terror. FML
Today, after failing my learner's licence twice in the previous weeks, I finally passed. As I got home, I went for a drive with my dad. I smashed my mum's car into an old lady's fence and ended up in her backyard. FML

Yikes. You might want to practice somewhere where you can't break anything. Empty parking lots are nice.

Yes they do. Driving does not come naturally to everyone. Doesn't mean they can't learn. I had a hard time learning to drive too, managed to make my dad temporarily hate me for what I did to his truck, but by the time I got my license I completely knew what I was doing. Haven't been in or caused a wreck yet in my 7 years of driving. Don't discourage the kid like that.

The third time my dad made me fill up the truck while I was learning, he got in the truck as I was closing the door and it somehow managed to get stuck behind a post and I had to drive forward a bit to close the door.

I hit a donkey when my parents took me to practice down in Tijuana. On the plus side, if you can drive in Mexico, you can drive anywhere lol... Just relax, breathe, & you will get better OP :-)

My first time behind the wheel my dad was pushing the car into the driveway and right before I hit my dads truck I realised I had no clue where the break was. We all make mistakes just learn from it and its probably best to try again in a parking lot and not your driveway.

Deep breath, OP. Maybe your dad isn't the best instructor, if he had you pull out of the drive before you were ready. Can anyone else teach you?
