Today, my family and I went to the movie theater. There weren't enough free seats near the front, so I sat a few rows back with my grandpa. He kept throwing our snacks at my parents' heads all through the movie. He claimed he'd been asleep the whole time, and I'm now grounded. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went to a movie with this guy. He was late so the only seats available were the ones in the very front which he refused to sit in. As we were looking for two seats, he spotted one near the back and sat down, leaving me to sit by myself in the front. FML
Great day out
Today, I went to the movies with my husband and our 6-year-old son. My husband kept stealing popcorn from the guy next to him, to the point where the guy punched him in the face. The movie was stopped, the police were called, and my son is now inconsolable. FML
Immersive experience
Today, after a long and tiring day at work, I went to the movies, where I loaded up on soda, popcorn, and candy, and settled in to enjoy the movie. I ended up falling asleep and being woken up two hours later by an usher. FML
Today, I was late to a sold out movie in the theater, so I had to shuffle in during the previews in the dark. I sat down in what I thought was the last vacant seat, but I'd really just sat in a small woman's lap. She was not happy. FML
Today, I went to the movies with some girlfriends. The guy behind us was making these pervy, heavy breathing noises, so we threw some popcorn at him. When the movie finished, we saw him in a wheelchair - with a breathing tube sticking out of his neck. FML
Today, I was at a movie theater. I heard some obnoxious people talking in front of me. After about 5 minutes, I began throwing popcorn at a group of suspected people. As I was escorted out, I realized that the obnoxious people were in the background of the movie. FML
Today, I went to the cinema with a girl I like. Knowing she has a bit of a soft spot for me, I was keen to sit in the back row. Too bad her sister tagged along, insisted that we sit somewhere else, and scolded me every time I so much looked at her. I ended up paying for the unwanted guest as well. FML
Are you kidding me?
Today, my boyfriend was complaining about how we never see the movies he wants to see. So I took him to the movies, and he picked which one. Then he fell asleep. FML
I mean, come on…
Today, I went to see a movie but took my phone out a few times to check my socials. Apparently the asshole behind me didn’t like that, because he ripped my phone out of my hands, dropped it in my soda, then just sat back in his seat like nothing happened. FML
Close shave
Today, I went to the movies with my boyfriend. He went to get popcorn and I went to the bathroom. Thinking he had got back before me, I sat down next to him in the theater. I leaned in to kiss him, then realized it was some 70-year-oldish woman. FML

Old people can get away with so many things. It's not even funny, I'll troll my kids too when I am old.

Or he has a few tricks up his wrinkles.

10: That's really rude, alzheimer's is nothing to laugh about.
BulldogHoops 14
10- That's classless. OP: Even though he trolled you, enjoy him while you can. My grandpa passed away recently and it's really difficult. Even when they get under your skin, grandparents have a special relationship with their grandkids that cannot be replaced.

Sounds like someone might be off his rocker!!!

10 - I agree with the others. My grandfather can't remember much because of Alzheimer's, it's taken a toll on the entire family especially his kids. I've never seen my father cry so much before.

This fml is another example and brain dead parents who are dumb enough to believe anything.

Nobody understands sarcasm. I thought it was funny. There's one less down-vote.
EvilPotato 15
92 I like sarcasm. When it's actually FUNNY not downright stupid!
thgiL 9
We all understood the sarcasm... But just because sarcasm is used doesn't make an un-humorous comment humorous.

Humans are very difficult to impress.

If you're 15, how could you possibly know that?

I jus wanna know what theatre that is! Free seats??? The theaters in my town are $15 a ticket! It's an arm and a leg to go with someone if you get stuff there!
nerobluerose 10
Free as in empty

OP meant seats that weren't being used or occupied at the time.

#4, the unit of currency has changed -- it's now "Faith in Humanity" points. Grandpa: -500 You: -350

Next time you are changing his diapers, stick it on his face and smother him with his own excrement.

Badass grandpa at least he still does funny shit

54 - If it's currency, is there anywhere I can use it to take out a sizable life insurance plan on my significant other, in case of "accidental" death? I'd like to gain more faith in humanity as quick as possible.

Troll grandpa! I hope to be like him when I'm older.

To get back at him, move your furniture around and tell your parents it was him. Claim it was dementia and he just doesn't remember it.

That's what they did back in the day too right?
outoftown 27
That's why they are so good at it: years of practice. Maybe OP can ask grandpa for some tips; grandpa owes him at least that, for punking him.
DocBastard 40
Bad grandpa! BAD GRANDPA! You're wasting perfectly good Whoppers and Twizzlers!
murlocholmes 5
And at movie theater prices at that! Or am I the only cheap bastard around here...
murlocholmes 5
61- exactly. Why pay $5 for a box of skittles when I can just go to McDonalds and eat like the king of a small, third-world country for the same price. Ridiculous...
outoftown 27
#11, No, clever grandpa. He has fun while protecting OP's teeth (and his own dentures, perhaps).
br0ccoli 15
17 - You're not alone. They rape us over here with their $15 movie tickets, $8 popcorn, $6 candy and $2.75 soda. SO glad I'm not a guy because I don't have to pay for my date. Ha! Finally, a perk of being female.
kittytub 12
they charge 15$ for a tiny box of nachos at my theater... =/ it's literally the size of an order of nachos you can get at taco bell for a dollar. with less cheese sauce.
thgiL 9
I really have no idea here; is there a candy called whopper? Because this comment is making me think the grandfather is throwing the burger at them lol
ByronJess 17
Whoppers are also a malted milk ball candy.
menacingsprite 3
103 - google is your friend. Whoppers are chocolate covered candy also the same as robins eggs at Easter time.
