Today, my ex-boyfriend asked me to homecoming, in front of the whole school, knowing I have social anxiety. I was forced to say yes to not seem like an asshole. Now I can't back out. FML

Don't buy a dress, if he asks to see it, stall. On the day of homecoming, you're suddenly too sick to leave your bed! Problem solved

Or she can just tell him to **** off for putting her in such a predicament.

What I'm wondering is what school has homecoming in March?

Why don't you just man up and back out? He's not holding a gun to your head

Let him pay for your ticket, then "break up" with him again as soon as you get in. You shouldn't have to miss the game or the dance because he's a jerk.

I see an illness coming on that night....leaving him alone for homecoming.

You can still back out op. If he acts abusive like this, you should go to your guidance counselors about it.

just grab some supportive friends walk up to him and say you changed your mind and aren't going with him

Oh honey, you need an adult to help you. Tell someone about his abusive behavior and if necessary get a restraining order. Your safety is way more important than your reputation
