Today, I walked out into my backyard. As I did so, my dogs ran past me, slamming the sliding door off its track. I went to catch it, and knocked the bird cage over. To complete the fumble, as I turned to catch the bird cage, I stepped in a dog turd. I wasn't wearing shoes. We're all okay, but… FML

Today, I was walking my dog but every time he looked like he was about to "go", he became uninterested with the spot and kept walking. I, following behind, tripped over a bump in the sidewalk and face planted. My dog then finally urinated, all over my aching body. FML

Today, I heard my dad screaming in the hallway. Thinking he was having a heart attack I ran to the hall without looking where I was going. I slipped and slid towards my dad in what turned out to be a mass quantity of diarrhea from one of my two dogs. He was screaming because he stepped in it. FML

Or maybe the dog has separation anxiety or is just an avid chewer? My dog loves her kennel and will happily lay in it through out the day even when I’m home. Most people work and can’t have their dogs with them 24/7 and can’t let their dogs free roam the house since they’re too young and/or too destructive and that by no means makes anyone a bad owner. I leave my dog in her kennel for 2-6h a day due to mine and my boyfriends work schedules since she will chew things apart when home alone even AFTER going to the dog park for an hour. And then I take her for a long walk when I get home even if it’s -30 out, this is our routine. So stop owner shaming just because you do things differently.
