Today, my dad and I had a yelling match about me "lying", because I was unable to contact iTunes support without a phone number. To prove a point, he went online to find the phone number. It's been an hour and he's still searching for the number. I can't leave the table until he has found it. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Blame game
Today, my dad tried to blame me for ringing an out of network number for two hours, which charged his bill by the minute. I rang the number, which turned out to belong to one of his business pals who lives abroad. He punished me anyway for having an attitude when I proved the call was his fault. FML
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Today, I was involved in an intense argument with my dad. Just as I yelled, "You haven't done one thing for me", my phone rang. The same phone that, as of today, my dad no longer pays the bill for. FML
Today, I found out my dad bought an iPhone. I've spent the better part of the last six months teaching him how to check his email and online newspapers. FML
Memory man
Today, my dad let me use his phone. Five minutes later, he had my mom call it because he thought he'd lost it. FML
Today, I went to the Apple store to try and figure out what's going on with my iPhone. After an hour of speaking to three different geniuses and waiting around, their solution was to "Google it." FML
Robocall
Today, I have a horribly painful throat infection and can't talk. In spite of this, Dad keeps insisting I call people for him, meaning I have to make use of a text to speech program. Eight out of twelve people I've called on his behalf have hung up, thinking I'm a scambot. Dad is blaming me for it. FML
Impatience
Today, my dad asked me to help him buy a laptop by searching online. He explicitly said, "When you have time." I decided to shower as I had just woken up. While showering, I was startled by loud banging and my dad angrily asking why I wasn't looking for his laptop. FML
Unloved
Today, my dad lied and said he was busy working, all because he didn't want to see me. FML
Today, my mobile phone wouldn't turn on. I took it in to the phone store, but they won't fix or replace it because the account is in my dad's name, not mine. He's abroad for the next month, and the only way to get a hold of him is on a number I only stored on my phone. FML
Clueless
Today, after my dad got frustrated at me last month for not having a job and completely taking over my job searching, claiming it’s not that hard and he’d show me how it’s done. Since then, not one company has called or emailed him back and he doesn’t know why. Welcome to job searching in 2024, Dad. FML

Some people can't handle being wrong. It's sad he's taking it out on his own child.

should've pretended to need the bathroom and run for it. how did this end? and how often do you lie to your father to merit a yelling match?

Ugh!! Good luck with iTunes!! Lol last summer I had Pandora radio on my iPod and I was paying like 4.99 a month for the better version, well after about 2 months I canceled my subscription. Not paying attention to my credit card, because I trusted Apple had canceled it per my request like they were supposed too!!I finally realized I was still getting charged for Pandora 8 months later!! They would only refund me for a month!! I was not happy, I didn't even have the app anymore, and I told them that.. Smh I took it off when I canceled my subscription!! Ugh!!

Whether you're right or wrong, you will never win an argument with a parent. If you dare TRY to win, a punishment is on its way.

Take it to next level OP. Be his speaking watch: You have been searching for an hour and 1 sec , 2 sec, 3 sec If he didn't get the hint. Then you need to re evaluate the way you present things to him.

That's because Apple doesn't care about their customers enough to actually have a support system. They just outsource it to locally licensed business that think they understand Mac.

Bullshit!! Apple has wonderful tech support. The few times I've called them, my problem got solved on the phone call.

They do have a number it's after going through page and page of trying to find a solution and nothing comes up...

Just leave the table, if he can't admit when he's wrong and be an adult about it, you don't need to sit there and deal with his bullshit.
