Today, my 15-year-old son got so enraged at a fly that kept harassing him, that he ended up slapping himself in the face as it flew by him. This caused him to fall out of his chair, at which point he broke down into a mess of tears, humiliating me in front of everyone. FML

Why would he cry if he's 15? Does he have a disability? How would he end up slapping himself?

And Also your making this about yourself and showing how much you hate your child. HOW! How does this have anything to do with you? He was the one who was humiliated he fell out of the chair

I have anger management issues and maybe he does too. I just know that in the heat of the moment you are freaking out and so it is quite possible to hit yourself, but on top of that once the outburst is over you're frustrated that it happened and also frustrated about the thing that caused the outburst. He also may have been humiliated because of what happened... Not that the dad would know, he only cares about how he looks.

**** YOU BITCH WORST FATHER OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO OP

Flies can be pretty annoying

What a whiny baby you've raised.

Have you even considered getting your son some help for these anger issues?

You're a bitch... You're son is upset and crying(which not a lot of men do) and you're worried about your own reputation? What a selfish thing to say.

I said the same thing. It's awful how some parents react to the actions if their kids. I mean parents these days...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Humiliating you? Sounds like someone else needs to grow up.

When people bottle up emotions small things can set them off. You should talk to him and see what really caused the fit of rage. Don't let it 'fly' over your radar.

Ok no offense but why is it always about how the parents look. The kid is the one who should be embarrassed. The only reason you should be embarrassed is that you care more that you think your kids actions effected you than the fact that your kid is probably genuinely upset and frustrated.
