Today, it's the first day of fall. It's also the day that over 20 people have made jokes about my name being "Autumn" like they're the funniest, most original people alive. It's not even 8 am. This is going to be a long day. FML

Today, I had to deal with yet another day of people looking at my name tag and saying "You know nothing, John Snow." with a shit-eating grin, like they're the wittiest people alive. Then I had to deal with my boss telling me to lighten up, because it's "just a joke". FML
Today, I laughed at a joke and it literally took me a minute to realize that it was me they were making fun of. FML
Today, it's my birthday. It's 6.30 pm. I'm still the only person aware of what day it is. FML
Today, with my name sounding vaguely like 'Turkey' and being in the phonebook for business purposes, people keep calling, offering to stuff me for Thanksgiving. FML
Today, it was my first day at a new workplace. During introductions, I nervously tripped over my words and introduced myself as "Fork." My real name is Frank. My coworkers thought it was too funny to correct. Looks like I’m stuck with "Fork" for the foreseeable future. FML
Today, I found out that since there are 3 people with the same name as me at work, I'm known as "the ugly one". FML
Today, I found out that I’ve been greeting a coworker by the wrong name for six weeks. The worst part? They never corrected me because they thought it was funny, especially because it turns out to be their mom's name. FML
Today, I found out that ever since I got my blonde highlights, I've been mocked behind my back at work, and nicknamed "The Skunk". FML
Today, it’s this year’s first spring-like day, with warm sunshine, birdsong, and the first tiny flowers! So of course I'm taking full advantage of this delightful weather by… being sick and staying indoors. FML
Today, the highlight of my day was someone prank-calling me. FML

I get guff all the time for my name being Hillary. "Like Hillary Clinton?" They always say. I just put a smile on my face and keep going even though I hate being compared to her. Just tell them that you've heard the joke a million times, it's not funny anymore and to buzz off.

"Autumn" isn't a strange or creative name. OP's parents aren't the first people to name her that; there are plenty of people named Autumn.

laugh Historically? I'm trying to picture what that would entail...either a laugh that is epic enough for the history books, or maybe a laugh imitating some historic figure. I know it was likely a typo or autocorrect, and he likely meant hysterically, but I'm just picturing her laughing like Abe Lincoln or Betsy Ross. That image makes me chuckle. Laughing Historically is my new favorite thing.
