Today, I went to the police station to find out if the tint on my new car's windshield was too dark. The officer took one look, told me that windshield tints are illegal in California, and ticketed me. So much for being honest. FML

Today, I got 20% tints on my car. As I'm driving home, a cop pulls me over. I didn't want to ruin my new tint by opening my window, so I opened my door as the cop approached. He then pulled out his gun and yelled "GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND!" before I could explain. FML
Today, I found a great parking spot but I wasn't sure if it was restricted by any means or of I could just park there for free. I asked a police officer walking by and he told me it was alright, only to come back 4 hours later to find a ticket on my windshield. FML
Today, I got pulled over by a cop. Since my window wasn't working, I opened the door, causing him to run towards me with a drawn gun. He then had a go at me with his night stick. After realizing my window was broken, he laughed and let me off with a warning. FML
Today, I received a ticket for not having my headlights on. The cop who pulled me over had a broken headlight. FML
Today, I was pulled over by a cop and was fined $210 for making an illegal u-turn. When the cop finished writing my ticket and hopped in his car, he made the same u-turn. FML
Today, I was pulled over. The cop stated that he "couldn't see" me because I had "blended in with the dark car background", and that it looked like no one was driving. I was literally pulled over for being black. FML
Today, a policeman pulled me over and proceeded to flirt with me. After I had rejected him, he gave me a ticket for "not paying attention to the road". FML
Today, I got pulled over for a busted tail light. The officer gave me a warning and told me to fix it. Ten minutes later I was pulled over again for the same busted tail light by the same cop. This time he wrote me a ticket. FML
Today, I got pulled over for a broken taillight. When I rolled down the window, the cop asked me if I was smoking crack. When I told him I didn't do drugs, he didn't believe me since he could detect a foul odor coming from my car. I'd just passed gas big time. FML
Today, I pulled up to a red light. My ex was in the next car, and my car's windows are so tinted that you can't see through them, so I flipped him off. I was driving my mom's car. FML

YDI. There are many better ways you could have found out whether or not your tints are illegal. Like this thing called Google. Idk if you've heard of it but it's pretty useful, you should try it.

I don't trust cops. Because I've watched them try to plant drugs on my brother. I don't trust cops because I've had crooked cops shake me down for cash during illegal traffic stops. I'm an upper middle class white guy making $200k+ a year. I employ a lot of people and I don't cause trouble. But I watch these pigs with an air of authority abuse it all the time, especially when they think they can get away with it. Fortunately, I had a camera running on one and it was his last day as a cop. As far as who am I going to trust?? I trust myself, I trust my neighbors, I trust my family, and I trust my 9mm. That's all the trust I need. Certainly not some corrupt government organization.

Okay so if you are in a shooting, or you are getting murdered, who is going to bring justice? Who is going to go into the crime scene and legally bring the evidence? I understand you trust your loved ones, but this is the real world and that doesn't fly in court. Please don't generalize an entire profession solely based on your experience. Millions of police officers risk they're lived for civilians like you everyday, and you probably don't even know it. You have had terrible experiences with cops, yes, but please don't be ignorant enough to think they are all bad in society. If there were no cops to bring daily order, there would be a shit load of more chaos. Like you said, you are an upper class citizen and you probably don't see it as often. And let me just say, if your home alone and nobody in your neighborhood has a firearm, and a murder comes into your house and points a gun at you, what are you going to do? Certainly not run because you'll get shot

If you were in a buildings and a group of gunman came in, where would you go? How would you survive? Are you saying that things like countless tragedies like sandy hook don't need the police force at all? Be ******* grateful. You might have met some asshole cops, but guess what? they aren't like that because they are cops. they are like that because they are just assholes. you think this police system is corrupt? go to countries like Mexico or India. YDI. Why would you buy a car with tinting, or add tinting to your car, without knowing if it's legal? Doesn't it make sense not to spend the money until you've extinguished that legal doubt? If you'd instead said to the cop "How dark can window tinting be on a new car?", you'd have gotten "not at all". That would've saved you the ticket and the cost of tinting/reversal.
