Today, I went to my girlfriend's job to surprise her for lunch, her manager said she hasn't worked on a Saturday in two months. FML

Today, I got off work early to go home and surprise my girlfriend with lunch, only to come home to her in the middle of packing up all of her stuff. FML
Today, I went over to my girlfriend's house for dinner. Her parents seemed upset, so I tried to lighten the mood by saying, "Hey, at least the weekend is coming up and you guys won't have to go to work." Apparently, they were upset because they both got laid off from their jobs today. FML
Today, I surprised my boyfriend with lunch at work. He surprised me too, when I caught him making out with one of his coworkers. FML
Today, I went to my husband's work to give him lunch. His assistant told me his "wife" was in his office. FML
Today, I went to surprise my girlfriend, who was at work at Target, with flowers. I asked the employee at the entrance if she was there. When he asked who I was, his face lit up red and he started profusely apologizing, stating, “She told me you guys broke up.” before guiding me to her area. News to me. FML
Today, my girlfriend gave me a two week notice for our relationship. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend chooses extra shifts at work over hanging out with me. Every time. She doesn't even like her job. FML
Today, I missed my shift at work. I had asked my girlfriend, who works at the same store, to text me my schedule. She sent me the wrong hours for today. I got suspended, and she broke up with me for being too irresponsible. FML
Today, I took my girlfriend out to Outback Steakhouse. We went to one outside of town because my wife works at our local one. When we got there, guess who we saw? I forgot she transferred to another location, which just happened to be this one. Goddamit. FML
Today, I drove three hours to surprise my girlfriend, who I hadn't seen in three weeks. When she opened the door, she gasped, told me to fuck off, and slammed the door in my face. FML

I had a boyfriend who did the same. So I am extremely familiar with it. People can say or think what they like about my comment but if she were being straight up she wouldn't have needed to lie about where she was. I don't even want to hear about how it could have been innocent. She was planning something for him. No one does that shit for 2 months in a row.

It could be a new relationship? I'm not really sure but there are tons of possibilities. She could be working two jobs, she could be volunteering, endless possibilities. Sometimes people just don't want to share certain things, she could be embarrassed. Also, OP hasn't shared a lot about this relationship, so we don't know how serious it is. He was doing an incredibly sweet gesture, yes. But that doesn't mean they have been together for a super long time. Trust is built, it's not automatically there. There are a lot of factors, in my opinion.
