Today, I went to get new shoes. I'm a pretty tall girl and I have proportional feet. I asked the cute guy who worked there for a size 9.5. He burst into laughter before putting on a shocked face and saying, "Oh wait... You're serious." Goodbye, self esteem. FML

Today, a male employee at a shoe shop helped me try on shoes. Once I found a pair, I went to pay for them. I was telling the cashier about how great of an employee he was when she told me there were no male employees. A guy with a foot fetish helped me find shoes. FML
Today, I went to a mall and got some really awesome shoes. I went home to find out that they are actually women's shoes. I'm a dude. FML
Today, while shopping for a pair of shoes, I saw a pair I really liked lying around, so I sat down to try them on. Then, a man came up to me and pointed out that they were actually his shoes. FML
Today, I went shopping for a new pair of jeans. I was feeling good about the fact that I was going down a waist size until the cashier decided to discuss with me, three co-workers, and the ten other people in line how she didn't even know jeans came in sizes that big. FML
Today, I was trying on some shoes when I felt the heels break underneath me. Not only did they cost two paychecks worth, but as I was leaving I heard the sales girl say that "we really should have a weight limit for who can try on our products." FML
Today, while shopping for a birthday present for my size 0 friend, I picked out a pair of pants for her. When paying, the cashier looked me up and down and said, "Well, you're pretty optimistic aren't you?" FML
Today, a middle-aged woman came into the shoe shop where I work, and asked me to help her put on a pair of boots that were obviously too small. Simultaneously as I knelt down by her feet, she booted me in the face while we tried to get them on. FML
Today, I was working at a shoe store and was helping a dude try on shoes. He looked like trouble and I wanted to finish with him. When he finally picked his shoes, he abruptly stood up and ran out of the store with the shoes on. The cost of them was deducted from my salary. $240. FML
Today, I was at the mall with my friend. A lady came up to us and told my friend that she could be a model. Then the lady looked at me and said, "Oh... Nice shoes." FML
Today, at work, an obese woman insisted she took a size 5 shoe, despite me measuring her at a size 11. Then when the 5 I politely fetched for her didn’t come close to fitting, she told the manager I was fatshaming her. Her feet were ham joints below cankles as thick as my thigh. She stank too. FML

9.5 isn't even a huge size, I know of women with size 11 feet. Honestly, no one notices your feet, don't worry about it!

I'm 5'6 and I wear a size 11 since I was 12. I know 3 other girls like that. Not too uncommon really.

Your feet aren't even that big. I am a size 9, 9.5, or 10 depending on the shoe and I am a 6'0 tall girl. I love my height because I totally rock it and I think my feet are pretty proportionate in comparison. I have a few friends that are much shorter than me that wear my size shoe even.

I know how you feel. I wear size nine now, and I'm 5'6. I always feel like my feet are too big when I'm shoe shopping, but I Honestly don't think I've ever looked at another girls feet and thought they were small and cute or big and weird or whatever. I think it's just a silly personal insecurity people have that makes no sense, but I know a lot of girls who deal with it. Sorry, OP, that that guy was such an ass. :)

Don't worry OP, no matter how big your feet are, they're still more proportional than mine. I wear a 12.5 men's and I'm 5'9".

I rock 10-11 depending on the shoe sometimes a 12 for dress shoes... its okay there are other tall girls out there too.... square your shoulders and stand up straight as often as possible and they'll stop picking on you, I promise!
