Today, I was walking to the kitchen in the dark. Something caught my eye and I turned to see a man standing in the corner, clear as day. I jumped and closed my eyes for a split second. When I opened them, he was nowhere to be seen. I'm now terrified to live in my own home. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I went downstairs a little after midnight to grab a snack, and in the dark hallway, I clearly saw a small child walk into the kitchen. I was freaked out, but I followed him in. There was nobody in the room. I'm now too scared to sleep, and am seriously considering moving house. FML
Today, I came home from work and went to open the door. I Iooked through the window and saw a man in my house. Terrified, I called the police. They came, searched the house, and found nothing missing. I went back inside and looked through the window and saw him again. It was my reflection. FML
Today, I walked into my near pitch-black bathroom and saw a person staring back at me. I woke my whole family up with my screams. The person was my reflection. FML
Today, I came home late from work. As I got out of my car, I noticed a child-shaped silhouette in my bedroom window. I almost shat myself, since I live alone. I searched the whole house, sobbing in fear, only to find no trace of whatever or whoever I'd seen. FML
Today, I faced my fears. I've always had a weird fear of looking out of windows at night, afraid a face would suddenly appear. When I heard a strange noise outside, I looked out the window. Sure enough, the face of a man suddenly appeared. FML
Today, I spent an hour in my car terrified to go inside because I thought my house was being burgled. I saw rapid shadows in the light of my lounge. Eventually I plucked up the courage to creep inside with a rock to find it wasn't a robber. It was my cats, fighting in front of a toppled lamp. FML
Today, after spending the evening with friends, I went home and realized that the living room light was on. Thinking someone was robbing me, I hid behind a bush. I got impatient and crept up to the door. Then I remembered that I'd left the light on before I left. FML
Today, I woke up to noises in my living room. I was scared, but I loaded my gun and snuck downstairs. I burst into the living room, yelled for the motherfucker robbing me to put his hands up, and flicked on the light. My cat stared back at me like I was a moron then calmly walked out. FML
Today, I was walking back to my home in the city in the dark. I'm paranoid, so when I saw movement behind me I clutched my mace. The faster I walked, the closer the person seemed to be. I spun around and sprayed my attacker with mace. It was my shadow and the wind blew the mace back into eyes. FML
Today, I was texting while walking up the stairs to my porch. When I looked up, I saw someone standing behind the porch door, and was so scared that I fell backwards down the stairs. Turns out, it was just my reflection. FML

Yes, I'm absolutely positive that in the split second your eyes were closed, the mysterious man vanished. It definitely wasn't your imagination - it was almost surely a ghost, phantom, demon, or spirit. And you're most definitely an idiot for being scared of your hyperactive imagination.

#383 ha! Seems your just as bad ok I'm going to tell you a true story. My cousin moved to a new house in pa but before moving they had to renovate it and strange occurrences happened....for instance they left the house locked and all the lights were off and the next day they came back every single light was on all the doors were opened and they would fined all their tools moved downstairs stacked ontop of one another me and my cousin both experienced the radio turning on by itself even though it was unplugged. One time a bored levitated itself and flew and hit my grandfather and not only did my family see this but also people who aren't part of the family such as the construction workers. Last but not least the fact that me my cousin and her friends saw something playing with a girls hair when there was in fact nothing or no one behind her. Knowing that others have seen this kinda shit happen means its not some kinda mental issue and you shouldn't think your crazy for seeing ghosts just cause some prick says you are
