Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I finished doing a resume that I had spent three hours on. I e-mailed it to the business I was applying for, satisfied. I decided to look it over. The first thing I notice, I spelt my own name wrong. FML
Today, while not feeling well at work, I had to finish up some papers. I was so out of it, I couldn't remember how to spell my name. I had to improvise by pronouncing each syllable of my name out loud. My boss now thinks I'm a dumbass. FML
Today, I found out I've been misspelling my middle name for 25 years. FML
Today, I saw my original birth certificate and realised I’ve spent almost all my life misspelling my first name. Now I’m worried it might invalidate pretty much every legal document I’ve ever signed. FML
Today, I realized I had misspelled "Education" on all the resumes I've been submitting. FML
Today, during a phone call, I broke down in tears because I was asked to spell my last name. It’s sixteen letters long and hyphenated, and I always end up having to spell it twice because they never get it right the first time. I’m tired. FML
Today, I took my dog to the vet and waited in the lobby while filling out a form. The receptionist asked for his name, so I wrote it down and handed it over. She looked at the form and asked, “Is that your name or his?” I'd accidentally written my own name. FML
Today, I found out that the phrase I got tattooed on my lower back is misspelled. FML
Today, I went to my first ever job interview, in a totally stressed out state. The employer's first question was: "What's your name?" I forgot. FML
Today, I was taking a test and thought I was doing great until I realized I was writing all my answers on the question paper, not the answer sheet. By the time I noticed, there were only five minutes left. FML

What's to be nervous about? Worst case is they don't find what's wrong, that's not so bad. They could find a break, or conclude you're unhurt and merely soft, but those aren't bad either.

I was relieved to see that you are a patient about to get a diagnostic exam. At first, I thought you were a medical student. If nerves make you screw up so badly, I wouldn't want you doing my vasectomy!

During my mom's passing, while we were starting to sort her affairs I, somehow, adopted my sister's married name in court documents.

Well, did you study for the medical exam? If you didn't study, you had every reason to be nervous!
