Today, I was handing candy to a little boy who was trick or treating by himself. He was small enough to grab the candy and run past me into my house. I've been searching my house for two hours and still can't find him. I'm afraid to go to sleep. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to tell all the trick-or-treaters that I'd run out of candy. I'd actually bought about $50 worth of candy, but managed to eat all of it by myself, sitting alone in my apartment, exactly like last year. FML
Today, I bought fifteen bags of candy for the trick-or-treaters. I sat outside with a bowl of candy the whole night. Only one person came. FML
Today, I went downstairs a little after midnight to grab a snack, and in the dark hallway, I clearly saw a small child walk into the kitchen. I was freaked out, but I followed him in. There was nobody in the room. I'm now too scared to sleep, and am seriously considering moving house. FML
Today, I dressed up like a pirate, dressed my dog as a parrot and bought $30 worth of candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters. I waited by the door for 3 hours. Not one kid came. FML
Today, while up in my room getting ready to go out, I thought I heard some trick or treaters knocking on the door. I ignored them because I didn't have any candy. The knocking got louder and longer. I walked downstairs, and noticed that the living room ceiling was falling down onto the floor. FML
Bad boy
Today, when I went to pick my kid up from daycare, I found out that he had run away. The rest of my afternoon consisted of me screaming his name, looking for him. I then returned to the daycare center. He thought it would be funny if he hid in the trash. FML
Today, a kid came Trick-or-Treating at my house. When I told her it was still one more day until Halloween, and that I didn't have any candy, she wound-up her fist, punched me in the groin, and ran off laughing. FML
Today, a kid came trick or treating to my house. When I told him Halloween was nearly two weeks ago, his reaction was to savagely kick me in the shin and run off screaming obscenities. This is the same kid who broke down in tears when I gave him candy on the real Halloween. FML
Today, I was jogging, and I saw a little boy walking. Crying and all alone. Thinking that he was probably lost, I asked to him with my sweetest voice: 'Hi there, did you lose somebody?' He screamed terrified and ran away. This is the second time this has happened to me. FML
Today, I thought about how my dad went to get me a Halloween costume and hasn't come home yet. That was 11 years ago. We've moved twice since then. FML

I would call the police. Just because you could get in trouble if the parents do and they find the missing kid in your house.

Maybe he was just a mirage. Spooky.

Yell that you hired three monsters, a ghost and a zombie this halloween. You just don't know where they're hiding. That should have him running.

I'm I only one who noticed OP spelled "anonymous" wrong? Instead of posting anonymously, he/she decided to spell it out? I'm confused.

Hey, all he wanted to do was to leave a signature while still be ananymous.

Nobody else cares. People who correct spelling online don't have a life.

Oh no, 57! You've invoked the rage of the grammar Nazis!

Hey 57, if you want to look like a mentally disabled four year old online, that's your business.

57 - I am in no way a grammar nazi. I just pointed out my confusion of why OP decided to spell it out rather than choosing to be anonymous.

No i agree with 57, if someone mispells something just let them be. Trying to make yourself sound smart by correcting others wont make them any less wrong , or do anything for that matter. -.-

Yeah in all likelihood the kid walked out while you were searching another room, but you seem to think he's still there and you decide the proper course of action is to tell the Internet?

Really? There is no way this happened ?

You've been searching for two hours and after like 15 minutes you didn't just call the police?
