Today, I was clearing out the garage when a large bouncy ball rolled into the drive. Only when I blasted it full force with my foot and collapsed did I realise it was actually a bowling ball. Two of my toes are broken. FML

Today, I found out how it feels to drop a bowling ball on your foot. Spoiler: It doesn't feel good. FML
Today, after I'd spent two weeks convincing my friends I could definitely beat them at bowling, on the first throw of the night, I slipped, launched the ball into the gutter three feet in front of me, and somehow pulled a muscle in my back. FML
Today, after a long day of working on my feet, I came home looking forward to soaking my aching feet in a foot spa. When I was pulling the machine out of a closet, it slipped and came crashing down on my feet. It broke. So did three of my toes. FML
Today, I went bowling with my friends. As I was about to take my turn, my friend came up behind me and yelled in my ear, "Don't mess up!" Startled, I dropped the ball on my foot. FML
Today, I was playing beer pong at a party and managed to get the ball in a cup. I jumped a little bit in excitement and somehow managed to fracture my foot while doing so. FML
Today, I went bowling with some friends. After a few beers I was showing off spinning the ball around on the tip of my finger. One trip to the ER and two crushed nuts later, I've found that mixing alcohol and heavy shiny balls is not a good idea. FML
Today, I hit my toe against a table. Out of frustration, I kicked the table and broke my little toe. FML
Today, as I was taking the garbage out, I tripped over my own feet, causing my knee to dislocate in such a way that it shattered the back of my kneecap and fractured my femur. I guess I won't be taking the garbage out again anytime soon. FML
Today, while playing with bubble wrap, I dislocated my thumb. FML
Today, I saw what I thought was a gallon jug of water. Trying to do something spontaneous and fun, I took my hardest swing at it to see how far I could kick it. It was frozen solid. I broke my foot. FML

Were the neighborhood kids playing Bowling for Dullards? Wait, another ball is coming — the kid is seeing if he can break your three other toes and get the spare!

first what if a kid was coming to get it and you just kicked it full force away, second what if you hit and broke something by kicking it? YDI in my opinion.

I've never mistaken a bowling ball for a bouncy ball. Must have been the coloration.

I'm wondering how you thought it was a bouncy ball, unless you just saw it roll and assumed it. But bowling balls also have finger holes... I'm guessing those weren't facing you?

How do you mistake a bowling ball for a bouncing ball. Bowling balls are shiny and bouncy balls are usually a mat finish and made of rubber.
