Today, I was asleep and snored so loud that I woke myself up. I was at work and I am now the laughing stock of the office. FML

Today, I was really, REALLY tired at work. I went to the restroom to take a little break, and must have dozed off, because I was awoken by my boss, knocking on the door of the stall. Apparently, I had been snoring. FML
Today, I fell asleep at my desk. It's bad enough that it was for 45 minutes and that I was snoring. What makes it worse? My boss woke me up. FML
Today, I fell asleep at a party. I farted so loud that I woke myself up. Everyone heard. FML
Today, at work, I fell asleep. This is how I discovered that when I'm sleeping, and am scared awake by my boss with an air horn, I yelp louder than a terrier and piss my pants. FML

Today, I was at the beach with friends and I fell asleep while I was tanning. When I woke up, everyone was laughing hysterically. I asked what was so funny, and one of my friends replied, "You farted so loud in your sleep that you woke yourself up." FML
Today, I was on a plane flying home and fell asleep. I woke up to my own snoring and everyone on the plane looking at me. FML
Today, I woke up at 3 a.m. because my wife was snoring loudly enough to wake me up. I went off to the guest room to try to get back to sleep. Eventually I fell back asleep. Then I had a dream that my wife was snoring loudly enough to wake me up. It woke me up. FML
Today, I got into trouble for sleeping at work. FML
Today, I had a Zoom meeting with co-workers. I didn’t get enough sleep last night and it was early in the morning, so I was super tired. I dozed off and my head hit the keyboard’s space bar. Apparently, this feature allows the mic to unmute itself. The entire group heard my snoring. I woke up unemployed. FML

In some parts of Asia it is considered a great thing to fall asleep on the job because it means you were working so hard you got exhausted! Just use that as an excuse!

It's tough cuz we don't know OP's Life and maybe there was a good reason for being tired, but generally I think you may deserve it for falling asleep at work.

I don't understand why this comment was down voted so much. Sure, the work is an important aspect of life, but not so much as of enough sleep to get your body back up and running. Going to work sleepy and tired is almost as good as not working at all..

#10 that is terrible advice. How about instead of sleeping more often, OP tries to get a full 8 hours of sleep to hopefully avoid this again and avoid possible firing.

Apples are easy to carry around and are good for staying awake without a sugar/caffeine crash later. I'm sure your coworkers will eventually forget about it. In my experience, people start to lose interest in making fun of you if you play along.
