Today, I submitted my big assignment to my teacher at 1:55pm. The deadline was 2pm. She rejected it, because her watch read a few minutes after 2pm, and she maintains that the time on her watch is the "real" time. FML

Today, I turned in an essay after staying up late to work on it. I was away when the teacher assigned it, so I'd asked my friend what the subject was. It transpires that she'd given me the wrong one, all because she was mad at me for not returning her pencil. FML
Today, I got detention from my teacher for not handing an assignment in. It would be understandable if I hadn't handed it in a week before it was due. She won't listen to reason. FML
Today, one of my classmates asked the teacher to postpone her presentation because she had to study and the teacher happily agreed. When I approached her, the teacher started yelling at me because postponing deadlines is irresponsible. I just wanted to make sure we didn't need to bring our book. FML
Today, I pulled an all-nighter to finish an essay. I submitted it one minute before the deadline. Later, I opened the file to double-check and realized I'd uploaded my rough draft, containing notes like “THIS PART MAKES NO SENSE, FIX LATER.” The professor then replied, “I agree with your assessments.” FML
Today, my daughter decided it'd be funny to change the time on my clock. My boss didn't think it was funny. FML
Today, I was written up and given a penalty for being 3 minutes late to class. By my instructor. Who was 17 minutes late. FML
Today, at the office, my boss lectured me for being two minutes late for work, even though yesterday I worked on my lunch break because she needed my help. important to mention: my boss is my sister. FML
Today, I turned in an overdue English assignment at college. My instructor accused me of plagiarism, writing that my sentence structure was "TO" good. Seriously? FML
Today, I did a 3 hour long assignment for school. I was bored so I gave it the title "F***ing Assignment for a F***ing Teacher." I went downstairs only to discover that the printer was out of ink. So I sent it to her email, then I realized that I didn't change the title. FML
Today, I saw a person in my class completing a project that was due two periods later and that they had just started in the bathroom. They got a better grade than me. FML

Do you not know how time works? If her watch reads 5 minutes fast if the student arrived 5 minutes late he/she would just appear to be 10 minutes late. I'm more concerned that 115 people agreed with him..

Not necessarily. There are several variables that could lead to a "last-possible-minute" submission. For example, there have been many times where I have had to work on a few of my practicum assignments an hour before it was due, due to difficulties getting into the schools for the school's reasoning; difficulties scheduling time to meet the cooperating teacher; and even working around the schedule of other classes (assignments and meetings). I have a friend who's a social work major. She's required to work with a semi-retired social worker. She only works on Fridays, and my friend's assignments are always due on Friday night.

Although you aren't in fault in this case, sending something in 5 minutes before a deadline is always a bit tricky. If your computer fails you or Internet shuts down you're in a whole lot of trouble that you can't fix in 5 minutes. So in the future you might want to send it in a bit earlier. Now, you should probably be able to prove that you sent it in on time if it was via a computer and perhaps complain to a committee or something. Hope it works out for you OP.

I agree with this completely. A good motto that my 8th grade history teacher taught me is: early is on time, on time is late, late is inexcusable.

I know there's not enough info for me to know WHY you sent it at 1:55, but this is why it's always best to do things earlier than five minutes before the deadline.
