Today, I started a new internship. I couldn't do anything until I was trained, and I couldn't be trained until I had a login. I stared at a wall for three hours. FML

Today, I started the internship of my dreams. The company has nothing for me to do, so I sit and stare at the clock. FML
Today, I procrastinated on doing my on-line training for my new job. Thinking it would only take a few hours to complete, I started it in the early evening. It is now almost 4 am, and I start my new job in 3 hours. There is still about another hour and a half on on-line training left. FML
Today, I got a job offer and was asked to come in at 5am for training. I sat there for about 2 hours before giving up. I was at the wrong site. FML
Today, I have been at my new job for almost a month and still have no idea what I'm doing. FML
Today, I started a new job. The synopsis of my training was, "You're starting a job you're going to hate and you'll be fired for entertaining yourself while waiting for us to give you more work. But you're going to love being here." FML
Today, I started my first day of work. I was told to absorb everything going on and to get used to the high-paced flow of things. I've been sitting at my desk for two hours now, and the office has been empty since I've walked in. FML
Today, I started my job at a warehouse. I was the only person in my training group who needed help wrapping a pallet. FML
Today, I've been working for a company for six months, but I still don't know my job fully because my trainer is difficult. He would get mad because I'd wait until he was done explaining before asking questions, so I changed and asked as soon as he said something I didn't know, but would get, "Well, if you'd let me finish…" FML
Today, I was supposed to start a new job. I had accepted a new position with a different company three weeks ago, and gave my notice. At the time, I even trained my replacement. Today, I found out that my new work doesn't need me anymore. So, I'm unemployed. FML
Today, I was let go from my internship for "not putting in enough effort". I was working 50 hours a week for almost zero pay. FML

Internships are supposed to train people for their careers, and this taught you what it's like at most companies.

You have a good patience. But why didn't you just get in touch with someone. Maybe even use another employee's machine to do the training part.

I'm surprised how much this happens when offices get a 'new person'. You would think they'd have it organised a week before... but they never do!

I've had similar happenings. Got new forklift job, couldn't work until i'd taken proficiency test, which requires supervisor to be present. After 2 and a half hours of outdated safety videos, and just before I was ready to test, the super walked out and didn't return for over two hours.
