Today, I procrastinated on doing my on-line training for my new job. Thinking it would only take a few hours to complete, I started it in the early evening. It is now almost 4 am, and I start my new job in 3 hours. There is still about another hour and a half on on-line training left. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I started a new internship. I couldn't do anything until I was trained, and I couldn't be trained until I had a login. I stared at a wall for three hours. FML
Today, I got a job offer and was asked to come in at 5am for training. I sat there for about 2 hours before giving up. I was at the wrong site. FML
Procrastination
Today, I got up early because I had a bunch of work to do. It's now 11:50 p.m and I still haven't managed to get anything done. FML
The passenger
Today, I was starting a new job and I didn't want to be late, so I took a train that left earlier than normal, just to make sure I'd be on time. Turns out, the earlier train wasn't an express train, and made it to my stop 12 minutes after my usual one did. I was late for work. FML
Today, by request from my new boss, I came into work over an hour early to finish some backed-up filing. This seemed like a great opportunity to earn some extra overtime pay. After spending an hour and half filing, I realized I hadn't clocked in for the day. FML
Get on with it
Today, I tried to finish an essay, which is already overdue by 5 days. I know the longer I procrastinate, the longer the pain will last, but my brain is still not working and can't start to write. FML
Consent
Today, I fully intended to start going to the gym so I set my alarm an hour early so I could go before work and get it over with. Alas, when the alarm went off and I saw that horrible "5 a.m." on my phone, my brain put me straight back to sleep without my consent. I ended up being late for work. FML
Naps are important
Today, I realised just how badly I procrastinate because I wanted to take a nap before going out for a friend's birthday, but I kept putting it off until I simply didn't have the time. FML
Today, I had so much to do, I didn't know where to start. So I didn't. FML
Unreasonable
Today, I've been making extremely good progress in my online class. Or at least… I was, until the deadline to complete it was suddenly pushed a whole month forward, causing me to be "behind." Then my teacher had the nerve to email me, telling me I needed to catch up. FML

OP, think about it this way. It's 4am, you start work at 7am. You'll be done the training at approximately 530am. That still gives you an hour to get ready and a half hour for you to get there. Perfect timing!

I did something like this years ago. Then later that day after my shift was over, another employee told me that the manager thought that I was high as a kite because I so delirious from exhaustion. Meanwhile, I've never had a drug in my life.

28, that's terrible advice. why would you tell OP to sue someone because they chose to put off doing something for their job? wow some people are sue-crazy... OP, YDI for deciding to put off something as important as that.

That's when you go to sleep and tell your boss in the morning, "Sorry, I didn't get home until a few hours ago, I didn't get the chance to finish... Mom didn't want to be alone in the hospital."

Sleep is for sissies and communists! Grow some stones and show up to work with morning wood bigger than your arm! I can guarentee, male or female, your boss will hire you and forgive your procrastination IF he/she finds out.

So, with your limited time, you are pissing it away on FML (which, at other times, is a fine and valuable investment of one's time ;) ) I don't see a lot of "Employee of the Month" awards coming your way. In fact, you may be unemployed by lunchtime for falling asleep on the job during your first hour there.
