Today, I received a Saturday detention because the assignment I'd handed in had different handwriting. I've been practicing my handwriting skills for the past month. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got detention from my teacher for not handing an assignment in. It would be understandable if I hadn't handed it in a week before it was due. She won't listen to reason. FML
Today, I broke my dominant hand. My teacher insists we hand-write our essays. I called and asked if it was okay for me to type up the essays. She said no. I have two essays due tomorrow, which count for half my grade. FML
Today, I turned in an essay after staying up late to work on it. I was away when the teacher assigned it, so I'd asked my friend what the subject was. It transpires that she'd given me the wrong one, all because she was mad at me for not returning her pencil. FML
Another brick in the wall
Today, I had a four and a half hour Saturday detention for skipping a regular detention. We had to wear full school uniform then sit at our desks and write an essay for two hours, then a 15 minute break, then another two hours of essay writing. I thought it was a cruel and harsh punishment, but did I deserve it? FML
Today, I turned in my homework. Too bad I accidentally handed in the printed answer sheet I found online to copy from. FML
Today, I wrote in my own yearbook with different styles of handwriting so my mom would think I have friends. FML
Drunk with power
Today, I finished my classwork and my homework early. Since we weren't allowed to leave the room, I decided to draw. My teacher noticed and gave me detention for "goofing off" when I should be doing my work. When I told the teacher I was already done, they gave me a second detention for "attempting to defy them". FML
Cursed cursive
Today, I was called by my son's school. They said he'd been forging my signature and comments in his reading book. He didn't forge them. I don't know what's worse: my handwriting looking like a 6 year-old's, or being too cowardly to admit it. He has a week of lunch detention, but I still have my dignity. FML
Today, I got sent to the principal's office because my Dad decided that instead of signing his name, he would sign, "Ms. Bigtits", because he wanted to make sure the teachers were paying attention to what their students handed in. FML
Today, I was given an entire week of detention for planking on my school desk. FML

Show them that's how you write now. That should solve it. If not, just Breakfast Club it and hang out with the people in detention.

Should have been pretty simple to prove that it's you're handwriting before it got to detention stage, unless they didn't even give you a chance to defend yourself. Just write something out!

That might get him in even more trouble... best to just give the teacher a live handwriting demonstration or take the issue to an administrator.

(Whatever happened to edit here?) Anyway, I wanted to add that I also wonder what this teacher will do when all your future assignments start showing up in that same handwriting and they realise that they falsely accused you of cheating?

And that is why I always typed and spell checked my assignments.

Some teachers look for any excuse to give out punishments. One teacher I had tried to give me half a day of in school suspension because she couldn't read my handwriting OR understand the shorthand I was using to take notes. As in, notes purely for my own study. She made me actually read it to her and explain it.
