Today, I ran a mile for my gym class. While I managed to cut two minutes off my time, a few minutes later I felt dizzy and nauseous, which I thought was because I pushed myself too hard. I collapsed and vomited in front of everyone. Not a single person moved to help me. Not even the teacher. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Run home
Today, I ran the mile in gym class. I was the second to last person to finish, and I was left panting and feeling faint. When the teacher found out I hadn't come in dead last, he accused me of skipping a lap and is now making me rerun the entire thing. FML
Today, I had to run a timed mile. I'm terrible at running. During the run, I thought I was doing a good job. That is, until the teacher told me to stop because I was three laps behind everyone else. FML
Today, while at school, I slipped on a wet patch in the hall and fell over, smacking my head against the floor. I laid there for a good five minutes in agonizing pain while people literally walked over me. Not a single person bothered to help me up or ask if I was okay. FML
Pump it up
Today, I'd signed up to try a workout class at the gym. However, as soon as the instructor started the class, I realized it was much more intense than I had anticipated. I ended up passing out and had to be carried out of the class by the instructor. FML
Today, during gym class, my teacher insisted that everyone should relieve some stress by throwing a basketball at the wall. I wound up and hurled the thing at the wall, it bounced back and hit me in the stomach. I began to vomit uncontrollably. Even my teacher laughed. FML
Today, while at work, I started to feel sick to my stomach, hot, and dizzy. My co-worker told me to go home. On the way through the locker room to get my stuff, I experienced a dizzy spell so severe, I blacked out and pooped myself. No one in the building is going to let me forget this. FML
Draining
Today, my swim coach had me swim a 400 meter freestyle. Feeling a little sick near the end, I lifted my head to breathe, then burped, and threw up violently all in the pool. All my team mates screamed horrified running out of the pool, and now they have to drain it. I was told not to come back. FML
The shape of you
Today, I told my gym trainer I’d do anything to get in shape. He challenged me to run a mile without stopping. I agreed, then got winded halfway through and dramatically collapsed on the track. A 70 year-oldish woman jogged past me and said, “You’ll live.” FML
Today, after the longest time, I went to the gym. I ran and ran and ran on the treadmill for an eternity, beating myself up for getting so overweight. Then I tripped and fell off, sweating and sobbing for being so useless. When I looked up, I saw I'd been on the machine for barely 2 minutes. FML
Grossed out
Today, I was helping this girl to the nurse’s office because she was so sick that she could barely walk. About halfway there, she stopped and vomited on me. My jaw was dropped in shock when she threw up on me again. A little went into my mouth. FML

Cutting two minutes off of a mile is a lot. An eight minute mile is 7.5 MPH, while a six minute mile is 10MPH. 10 MPH is a lot harder than 7.5 MPH. If you were going faster than that, it's even harder. A five minute mile is 12 MPH. You absolutely did push yourself too hard. None of this makes it ok for your teacher to ignore you when you are in distress but you absolutely pushed too hard.

You make sure that they're not on their back, direct them to a place that is safe to throw up (here it would probably be some grass), get them some water, something like that. When they're done, you walk them somewhere that it's safe to lie down, like the nurses office.

I suspect it’s more like going from a 23-minute mile to a 21-minute mile.

It probably is, but we don't know that for sure. They still pushed themself too hard. If I pushed myself up to a 5 minute mile, I'm pretty sure that I'd puke too.

How do you expect them to help you? Did you want them to scoop up your puke and bag it up as a souvenir? You’re obviously still in terrible shape and should work on your fitness instead of blaming others.

You need help to throw up? I don't even know how to help someone who is throwing up.

Report your teacher to the principle and have them redo their health and safety course. They have no business teaching gym if they can't see the symptoms, which can very well be fatal

Yeah that happens, nothing much a teacher could have done anyways. Congrats on the progress.
