Today, I pointed out to my boyfriend how Valentine's day, my birthday, and our one-year anniversary were all coming up in the next few weeks. He then promptly broke up with me. FML

He broke your heart the same way you would've broken his wallet :p

I know that some guys can't handle the stress of special days, but jeez...

Now he won't have to buy gifts.

pretty sure that was his gameplan...

When I dated, I never celebrated "dating anniversaries." There are enough damn commercialized holidays as it is.

Seriously I don't even know when my boyfriend and my anniversary is. I don't see why dating anniversary's are important to some people.

It's a good excuse to go out and be romantic. My other half and I are almost at the end of a long engagement and we even celebrated the anniversary of getting engaged.

he probably wanted to be able to do things on his own, not be pressured to spend lots on gifts and fancy things.

Then he should have just said that. To use that as a reason to break up with someone, even if she's a gold digger, means he's really not worth her time.

My sentiments exactly. It's overhyped and pointless.

Ain't nobody got money fo dat

So, in other words, everybody's got money "fo dat."

I think u only mentioned it out of greed; to get a big gift. ydi

That really sucks! What a dick, I would say you dodged a bullet there though. You can find someone way better

it's kind of funny how the guy is condemned for bailing on OP probably because the cash he was thinking he would have to lay out. Then there are the people calling him a cheap skate.
