Today, I met a guy in a bar. He was sweet and funny so I asked him out for coffee later. He quickly turned me down, saying that I didn't even meet his first requirement. His first requirement was "looks like a girl." FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I met up with a guy from a local dating site for coffee. He walked up, looked me over and said "Ummm, no", then walked off. FML
Today, I went to a local bar for a speed dating event. The first person I hooked up with took one look at my face, burst into laughter, and walked out of the bar practically doubling over. FML
Masterful gambit
Today, a cute guy asked me out for coffee. I like him but didn't want it to be easy, so I said, "Coffee dates are for broke bums, aim a little higher." He said, "Aight I will, peace out" and walked off. FML
Whassup?
Today, I walked into the bar to meet my Tinder date and sat down next to him at the bar. Without looking up from his phone, his first words to me were, “Piss off fatty, I’m meeting a hot chick tonight.” I guess he didn’t recognise me with my hair done and in a nice dress. FML
Today, I emailed the guy I like to ask him on a coffee date. He responded, declining by telling me he never drinks coffee. We met at Starbucks. FML
Fake news
Today, I went to a coffee shop to meet an online date. I couldn't spot him, so he eventually came up and introduced himself. It seems his on-line picture must have been taken before I was born. I spluttered "This isn't going to work," and promptly scuttled out. FML
Snoozefest
Today, a guy didn’t want to take me on a second date. I asked him if it was because I’m not pretty, or because I’m not catwalk model skinny, or too short, and he told me quite openly that it had nothing to do with that, I’m just so boring. FML
Where are you?
Today, I had a date with someone I met online. We agreed to meet at a nice restaurant. I got there early, ordered a drink, and waited. And waited. An hour later, I texted to ask where he was. His response? "I’ve been watching you from my car for the last hour. Decided you’re not my type." FML
Dating is hell
Today, I went on a date with this really cute guy from a dating app. He'd set the date and told me where to meet him. We met at a coffee shop, and he was an absolute gentleman. Five minutes after the date, I went to message him that I'd enjoyed myself, only to find he'd blocked me on the app. FML
Today, I met a cute girl. She seemed really sweet and I was heartbroken to find out that she had fallen on hard times and was living in a shelter. I asked her if I could take her out to lunch. She said, "No." I can't even get a date with a homeless girl. FML

In my head I'm imagining some guy standing in front of you with a clipboard..... "No! You will not do!" He's not worth your time...

Don't worry about him at all no matter how you look like somebody out there will fine you attractive and some will not this just the way it is.

What a bummer. Guess he doesn't seem so sweet now! You deserve better, OP!

maybe he had one of those things where ugly girls turn hot but you were to hot to look hot so his mind made you ugly? I don't know just brain storming here

OP- Is he blind? Or just rude? Or cruel? Drop him like the diseased hurtful list-keeping douche he is and move on!! F-HIS-L for missing a chance to be with you, not yours!!

Hell girl try not to worry about it there are a lot of dickheads out there

Everyone seems to be rushing to defend the OP but really, does she? Can't fault someone for having standards, even if a bit harsh on the bluntness.

What does "looking like a girl" mean? Does it mean following the standards of others even if OP is not happy with it?

That was unbelievably rude!! He just wanted to hurt her. It was cruel - that can really blow someone's self-esteem. She probably looks very much like a girl but not the type of girl HE wants: he possibly has this porno image or some sweet busty woman in a pink dress that giggles loudly and makes sandwiches or something! And it takes guts to ask someone out to coffee! I am impressed with you OP - maybe he felt your confidence and self-esteem threatened his "masculinity".

I thought it was pretty easy to look like a girl, I mean, there are some pretty distinguishable features...

Just because he isn't physically attracted to you doesn't mean he's a douche, looks like a woman, etc. physical attraction is the biological reason why people mate or become interested in the first place ... A relationship is largely based on that so you can't blame him for not being interested. However, he could have said it in a much nicer way.

Thank you for also being a reasonable person.

I don't think anyone is blaming him for not being interested. If the fml had ended "I asked him out for coffee and he said no." nobody would care. They're blaming him for the way he "declined." Also, if you truly believe that relationships are based largely on physical appearance, it may be time to reevaulate your relationships.

But we don't know that she did look like a girl. So while harsh, his response may have been accurate. Mayhaps she is a an attractive person however was wearing typically non female associated clothes, and he prefers someone in dresses and skirts for example.

People, maybe she's really tomboy. So **** your opinion. You are ugly bitch. Go get some plastics!
