Today, I met a cute girl. She seemed really sweet and I was heartbroken to find out that she had fallen on hard times and was living in a shelter. I asked her if I could take her out to lunch. She said, "No." I can't even get a date with a homeless girl. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was going on a blind date with a girl. She walked up to the table, said "Nah, no thanks" and left. FML
Nice try
Today, I was texted out of the blue by a girl I treated to dinner last year. Since then, we'd chatted and met in passing a few times, but she'd turned down or cancelled all my other date invitations. Sadly, she wasn't trying to meet up. She wanted $500 to benefit a male friend, who was down on his luck. FML
Squatters' rights
Today, I had the best date I've had in my life, until after we ate and split an expensive dinner out, we came back to my place and she then told me she was homeless, and wasn't looking to date but for a couch to crash on. She won't leave. Happy fucking New Year. FML
Today, I went on a date with a great girl; we went out to dinner and saw a movie. After the movie, we went out to my car to find out that a homeless man had broken the window, climbed into it, and was eating the leftover pasta with his fingers. FML
Today, I dreamed that I met this beautiful girl at a restaurant and we ended up having lunch together. Everything was going perfect until the end when I tried to get her number and she wouldn't give it to me. I can't even get a girl in my dreams. FML
Early warning
Today, I went out to dinner with the girl of my dreams. Wanting to get to know her, I asked her what she’s looking for in a relationship. She scoffed and said how relationships are for the weak and that it’s better to not catch feelings to avoid being hurt. I guess I don’t have a chance. FML
Chris Hansen time
Today, I met and asked a cute girl out on a date. We decided to meet at a fancy restaurant downtown. When I got there I saw her sitting with what turned out to be her parents. They made a huge scene, calling me a pedophile and a low-life. Apparently, the girl was 16 years-old. I'm 25. FML
Today, I got a call from the girl I'd really like to date to meet up for drinks. Excited, I walked out my front door, slipped on a patch of ice, and dislocated my shoulder. She won't go out on a date with me now because I "ditched her". FML
Today, I went on a date with a girl my friend set me up with. I thought we got along great, until after dessert, when I asked if she'd be interested in doing this again. She just said, "Nahhh" then got up and casually left, stiffing me on the bill. FML
Dating is hell
Today, I got stood up on a date. To add insult to injury, meeting up was her idea. FML

Just because she's homeless it doesn't mean she would go out with anyone that asks her

Maybe if he would have persisted then she would have given in. If that were me my pride would have said no at least 3 times before I actually gave in to someone offering charity. Offer the homeless man next to her the same deal so she gets jealous bahaha

OP asked her to take her out for lunch, not for sex.

So because her life isn't going well she should go for any guy who asks her out, regardless of if she's attracted to them? It almost sounds like you're trying to prey on it with the way you worded this.

If she was sweet. Maybe she just wouldn't want to burden you.

Maybe she has her reasons. For example, maybe she felt like she was being pitied and didn't like it.

She was probably wary of strangers taking her out, out oc the blue. They have been probably been advised of human trafficking.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but sounds to me like you were trying to take advantage of her situation.

No one owes you a date, homeless or not. That being said I was once homeless myself and rejected everyone even if I liked them. I wanted to make sure I didn't accidently take advantage/get taken advantage of. Most people in that situation I've talked to felt the same. Don't take it personal.

Just how entitled can you get ? "I can't EVEN get [...]" Seriously ? Do you view her as inferior to you, or as "easier" to get because of her situation ? If you truly wanted to be nice, you could just have offered to buy her something without forcing a date upon her. Maybe she would refuse that too, and that's also her right !
