Today, I made a very pretty sunflower cake that I woke up incredibly early to make. It took me hours and a lot of money. It was for my grandparents anniversary and my whole family was invited. We only got to see the remains because the waiter gave it to the wrong family, and they ate it. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I woke up early and spent hours baking and icing a three-tier cake for my friend's eighteenth birthday, which is this evening. I just found out my mother threw it in the compost bin because she's on a diet and it was "tempting" her. FML
That blows
Today, it's my birthday and I was very happy. When the moment came to blow the candles, all of the decoration on the cake flew off. It had taken an hour to make and set them on the cake. FML
Today, it's my mom's birthday. I woke up at midnight to be the first to tell her happy birthday. When I awoke in the morning, I decided to bake her a cake. Little did I know my whole family was going out to lunch to celebrate. I wasn't invited. FML
Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad came in to ask if I wanted the rest of his cake. I'd made it for my cousin's wedding, and spent 2 days preparing it. The wedding is tomorrow. FML
Bake off
Today, it's my three month anniversary with my girlfriend and so I decided to bake her a cake from scratch. It took me three hours, a call to my mom, three different recipe books, and half my pantry. On the way to her house, I stopped to pick up flowers and left the cake in the car. It melted. FML
Bad doggo
Today, I spent hours baking a multi-layered, detailed cake from scratch for my mom's birthday. It took two seconds for my dog to devour the cake while I picked up a spoon I dropped on the floor. FML
Today, I spent two hours making a cake that I'd promised my class for weeks. I boarded the train to school, but soon dozed off. A few minutes later, I awoke with a start and noticed a chunk of the cake missing and a homeless man next to me with frosting around his mouth. FML
Anyone for cake?
Today, it was my boyfriend's mom's surprise birthday party. I was sent to pick up the very expensive cake and dozens of balloons. Not only was it windy and the balloons flew away, I tripped and dropped the cake. In the driveway in front of all their family and friends. FML
Here, have this
Today, it was my son's fifth birthday. I asked my grandmother, who is a baker, to make a birthday cake for the party. Two hours after the party started, she arrived drunk with a large ham with candles in it. FML
Today, it is both my birthday and Easter. My whole family came into town and my mom made a big dinner with all of my favorite foods. After church, I took a nap. When I woke up, all the food, including my cake, was gone. No one thought to wake me up. FML

The waiter did make a mistake, everyone does, but this asshole family shouldn't have assumed that the resturant would just give them a whole cake for no reason for free and eat it.make them pay for it or yell and beat the living shit out of them.

Wow! that really sucks ass! Damn the other family for just taking the cake, i would've yelled at them saying "Ha, I made that cake with poison!" idk. I would also hate the waiter, im actually more mad at the family the waiter made a mistake. The family just took the cake. FYL

That made me sad. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

it's a shame that a dark cloud overshadowed that sunflower cake.

What a bunch of assholes (the family that ate the cake).

"a lot" is two words... Anyway, that's why you bring the cake yourself, rather than have some dumb waiter do it. Haha, dumb waiter.

OP, this is where you get your bitch on and insist on some comps for you and the fam. Free entrees and desserts would not be uncalled for in this case. And if it is a chain restaurant, an exec complaint will get you some freebies (see http://www.consumerist.com to learn how to become an effective complainer).
