Today, I locked my keys in my car. My spare keys are 45 minutes away in my dorm room. My dorm room keys are attached to my car keys locked in my car. Security said they would let me in as long as I had my school ID. It's on my keychain. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I locked my keys in my car. I had a spare key in my wallet, that I also left in the car. FML
Today, after locking my keys in the car and waiting three hours for my mom to bring me my spare, I reached into my bag only to find my keys. FML
Today, I locked my keys in my car. Good thing I went to Lowe's to make spares, which are also now locked in the car. FML
On the hook
Today, I lost my keys. My roommate locked me out, then yelled at me when I made her come home to let me in. I tore my room apart searching for them, and even went out to search my locker room. When I got home, I glanced at my wall only to find my keys hanging on the hook I set up specifically for them. FML
Today, my keys disappeared out of my car door during the 50 foot walk to the trash can. When I finally went to security after trying to find them, they said someone drove off with my car right as I walked in the door. FML
Today, I locked my keys in my truck. The good news is that I have a spare set in my house. The bad news is that my house key is on the same keyring as my locked-in truck key. FML
Stranded
Today, I locked my keys in my car. After looking for the spare key for hours, we called our insurance company, who then sent a "locksmith" with a wedge and a bar to open my car. All he did was break the driver and passenger doorhandles. My stuff is still inside. FML
Today, I locked my keys in the car while the car was running because I got out to get the parking ticket attached to my windshield. FML
Today, I locked myself out of my car. While walking home to retrieve the spare, I realized I locked my house keys inside the house this morning. Now I must decide whether to break into my house or car. FML
Today, my car keys are in my house and my house keys are in my car, and I'm in neither. FML

I keep my spare key in my wallet...because if I lock myself out of my car there's not much of a chance I'll be at home...

People seriously say you should keep your car key and house key on separate rings?! What the ****. I'd be MORE likely to lose my keys that way, cuz it's two things I have to keep track of instead of one.

I keep my car keys and apartment keys on the same chain, but that's because they get put in the same place anyway (in my pocketbook or backback.) Anyway, that sucks. Get AAA. They're definately worth the yearly fee. Or you could get a hide-a-key box. And for those of you saying YDI, it's an honest mistake. If you drive, chances are you'll lock yourself out of the car at least once in your lifetime. So get off your high horses.

That's quite the Catch-22, but I have to say you sort of deserved it. First day of undergrad we were told to never put our school ID on the same keyring as our dorm keys (mostly because if our keys and ID were stolen it was easy to find out which dorm you lived in and likely to be robbed).
