Today, I learned that my doctor lost all of my immunization records. I can't start law school without them. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Mr Motivator
Today, I found that my medical school has lost its WFME (World Federation for Medical Education) accreditation and my certificate (that I should be obtaining in two years) will be worthless. To pour salt into the wound, I have finals next week and it's hard to stay motivated after this kind of news. FML
Today, after 3 months of job hunting, I finally got a job. But now my birth certificate and social security card are somehow lost, and I can't start until I let them see a copy. FML
Are you OK?
Today, I went to pick up a prescription and the pharmacist asked for my date of birth. I gave it, then realized I had given her my dog's date of birth. I know it because it's written on his vaccination card. I had nothing else prepared. FML
Brain worms
Today, it's been several weeks, I went to the doctor for an ear infection and I still don't feel too good. It was then that I realized the doctor forgot to prescribe me medication for said infection. That explains a few things. FML
Meddling
Today, I received a letter from the doctor's office saying that I'd missed an appointment and could be dropped as a patient if I missed another. My mom scheduled the appointment for me without my knowledge, and never told me that I had one. I also can't make it to any appointments right now, because my car broke down. FML
Today, I found out that the insurance that my husband signed us up with for next year doesn't cover any of our doctors. Now we need to find 4 different doctors who take our insurance. FML
Today, while filling out some medical forms, I was asked for an emergency contact. I realized I didn't have anyone who would actually care enough to be my contact. FML
Today, I arrived at the doctor's to schedule surgery to find out my insurance got canceled again. I only just got it reinstated after the last time they screwed up and canceled it. It took me 6 months to get it fixed. FML
Evil eye doctor
Today, my step-son broke his glasses. Our doctor said he would no longer see us because my step-son is transgender, and a new law in our state allows him to do this. Apparently, it was foolish to be honest on medical forms. Finals are in a month but we have to find a new doctor before he can even study. FML
Give me my drugs!
Today, my doctor's office called to reschedule. I hate sacrificing work time at all, but I have to have my contraceptive. The appointment had been set back once already due to insurance issues, and having to wait until November means I'm going to run out… so now I sound like a drug addict. FML

Why don't you have a record of your own?? Aren't you a responsible adult?? Guess not.. Law may be better off without you.

You can have titers done. This is not a big deal.

can anyone say ' I'm going to sue?' They'll find those records right quick. I suggest finding a different doctor once everything gets straightened out.

I believe you have the wrong FML. Good try though.

You can get blood tests called Immunization Titers and then you can use the test results to prove immunity to specific diseases and illnesses, proving you've been previously vaccinated.

Just sign an affidavit. You don't need to be immunized to go to school. Roughly 37% of people in North America are not vaccinated.

I'm in my 40s and I wouldn't know where to find these records if I needed them. I've had a diptheria/pertussis/tetanus booster in the last year courtesy of my current GP, but anything from childhood, my parents, who are now both deceased, had those records and they're long lost. I know I had everything that was normal for kids born in the mid-60s, but I can't prove it. Polio, measles, mumps, rubella, DPT. Some of my childhood vaccinations were done by our family doc, who was pushing retirement even then and is certainly long deceased, and some were done via the school in my hometown which set up vaccination clinics sometimes.
