Today, I interviewed for a full scholarship to college. In the interview I said that I was excited about the new dean because I think she’ll be able to really make improvements and bring the school back to where it used to be. After the interview, I learned my interviewer was the former dean. FML

Today, I interviewed potential employees for a job position that I was supposed to get promoted to. FML
Today, I received a call from a top-rated university accepting me into the program of my dreams to begin my ultimate career. Two weeks ago, I accepted a permanent, full time and legally-binding job position in my depressive hometown because the school had previously rejected me. FML
Today, I was walking with a friend to tell him how excited I was for college and even motivating him to apply for the same school, until I found out later that I got rejected. FML
Today, my mom was named principal of the school I go to. FML
Today, I went to the dentist. I got a new dentist who started out a conversation about school. She asked where I went to school and if I liked my principal. After I told her I thought he was full of himself, she said she was married to him. FML
Today, I went to my first job interview. I didn't think I was doing too badly, until the interviewer said, "Wait a second, you're in high school?" I explained that the guy who'd called me had said that this wouldn't be a problem. I then watched as my interviewer left his desk to "deal" with him. FML
Today, I had an important job interview. The interviewer really seemed to like me. Instead of hiring me, he asked me out on a date. FML
Today, I got into my dream university. I also got turned down for the scholarship and the loan that would enable me to actually go. FML
Today, as a student reporter for our college newspaper, I interviewed the president of my university. I was surprised to get an interview with him, and because of my nerves, as soon as I walked into his office I tripped over my own feet and fell face first into the ground. FML
Today, after interviewing for a promotion to a position that was created with me in mind, I eagerly accepted a call from my boss, expecting good news. Turns out, they found a better applicant, who they don't believe will need support from the position I currently hold, so it's being eliminated. FML

Don't be mad that you said the right thing. If there was not a problem they would not of changed Deans. Stand up proud that you said it.

They are the former dean for a reason. If you believe the new one will make many improvements then don't be scared to say it, because obviously many other people thought the same and that's how they got the job.

LOL @ #3 #8 - normally it would probably be fine, but right now the OP is trying to the old dean to approve a full scholarship for him/her. If you were leaving your job and one of the last things you had to do was give away money, would you want to give it someone who just said you sucked at your job? But in most other cases I'd say you're right Sorry OP, I hope that the former dean somehow admires your dedication to the school or overlooks that statement and grants you the full scholarship anyway :D

#10, s/he never said the old dean "sucked at his/her job"; s/he said s/he was excited about the improvements the new dean would bring to the school. We also don't know if the interviewer didn't ask any questions about the new dean to begin with, thus setting him/herself up for criticism and/or comments.
