Today, I have to attend a mandatory parenting class due to a false report filed against me with CPS. My son's school play is at the same time as today's class, and I'll have to miss it so I can learn how to be a "better mom". FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I had to skip class to attend a truancy court hearing. FML
Today, I found out that I have to appear in juvenile court because I refused to go visit my dad, even though it was court ordered. FML
Today, I got sent out of the class for "inappropriate" behaviour. The teacher later forgot about me and sent a notice home to my parents stating that I skipped class. FML
Today, I had to go into school for the third time this week because my son is claiming he's on bath salts and biting all his classmates. My son is 16. FML
Today, my mom put me in an anger management class because I said "crap." FML
Today, CPS came to my door because they found out that I didn't report it when my sister abandoned her kids on my doorstep. They're telling me that I'm going to have to take them down to the foster care center and go through the proper channels if I want to keep them. FML
Today, I got reverse suspended for correcting my teacher. Now my mom has to go to all my high school classes with me for a week. FML
Today, after some filing mistakes, and a lot of waiting on hold, I'm finally registered for Spring classes. I was ready to enjoy this term, until I found out that my ex, who was forced into therapy after he threatened to kill me, is in half of my classes. FML
Today, my son got suspended from school. He's in kindergarten. FML
Today, I had to ban a mom from practice, which sadly meant the kid had to leave too. Several times the mom had been loud, disruptive and even rushed onto the mat because I wasn’t teaching her son the "right way". I’m a third degree black belt and I teach 5-6 year olds on my days off. FML

CPS reports suck, because it's all someone's opinion. As long as your kids are fed, healthy, and not being molested, they usually leave you alone.

I live in KY...the DCBS and CPS have been under investigation since 2007 here for illegally removing children from the home and pushing for adoption instead of reunification. The accusation has already been proven to be unfounded. My kids have been through evaluations (both medical and psychological) and it has been determined that they are not being abused. (Duh). However, I was still ordered to take parenting classes under threat of losing my kids to a foster home. I have filed a complaint with the state, but was advised to 'play ball' until the investigation can be completed. It is likely that my social worker will lose her job for this, but unfortunately the damage to my kids cannot be undone. (The mortification over the invasive exam, the fear of being taken away, the events I've had to miss...). This has been a nightmare.
