Today, I had two of my wisdom teeth removed. One side of my face is completely swollen, and the other is normal. I feel like the elephant man. FML

Today, I became that small percent of people who face three different kinds of complications after their wisdom teeth are removed. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me when my face was going to go back to normal after being swollen from having my wisdom teeth taken out last week. My face is back to normal. FML
Today, I had to get three teeth pulled. That would've been fine if they were all on the same side of my mouth. Nope, two were on the upper left and one on the bottom right. I kept thinking my upper lip was gauze it was so numb, and I kept drooling like a baby. I've barely been able to eat as it's so sore. FML
Today, I found out that instead of having four wisdom teeth, I have eight. They all have to be removed as soon as possible, which happens to be over the Christmas break. I get to spend my whole vacation in excruciating pain and a swollen face to boot. FML
Today, I woke up from my wisdom tooth surgery… while they were still sawing my jaw. I had such a bad panic response that they also cut my lip, so I have stitches inside and outside of my mouth, as well as the haunting crackle of bone being removed from my skull stuck in my head. FML
Today, after a year or more of suffering with wisdom tooth pain, I finally had all 4 removed a few days ago. Relief? No. I’m in more pain now than I’ve ever been, and I can’t even eat for comfort. FML
Today, I had my wisdom teeth pulled. The local anesthesia worked on three of the four teeth. I found out about the last tooth when the dentist was mid-yank. FML
Today, I got my wisdom teeth pulled. Apparently the medicines don't work on me. I woke up in the middle of the surgery and felt EVERYTHING. One of the nurses asked if I was okay, and the doctor just kept saying "Don't worry she's just dreaming", while tears were pouring down my face. FML
Today, the gums around my wisdom teeth are so badly swollen that I can't talk. I called a dentist to find out if I could see them for a removal. They told me to contact a surgeon, or go to the hospital emergency room. I have no insurance. FML
Today, I went to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed. The surgeon took a better X-ray to see what he was dealing with before he got started. When he came back into the room, he started to laugh and told me it was my lucky day because in the X-rays he found 2 big extra wisdom teeth. FML

Just hope you don't get a dry socket those hurt so bad. Ive pulled my back muscles pulled and had a kidney infection and the dry socket hurt the worst. Anyway OP crushed ice in a bag helps a lot, try that for the swelling. Other than that wait it out all you can do.

I already had mine pulled you should really Just relax the pain killers are amazing but it sucks when they wear off don't touch the stitches with your tongue and your going to sleep through most of it with the sedatives they give you your going to run out of the pills and be like whoa its been a week?!?!

Oh good luck to you! I had 4 impacted surgically removed a few months ago... The t3's didn't work, and I refused to take the perks.. That was a long 2 weeks bawling and chasing a 2 year old around. Good luck OP hope it heals up quickly for you, and anyone else who has to do it! :)

Don't know about other countries, but where I'm from you can not get true anesthesia in a dentist office. Only an anesthesiologist can administer it, and they weigh you first. So unless you have an allergic reaction, you should be fine.

103 Don't worry the risk of you dying are VERY VERY LOW. Besides they tell you about any complications you may have so you know what to do just in case.
