Today, I got a ticket for "suspicious driving" because my total shit of a mother kept tugging on the wheel to annoy me, and I still had to pay it. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out my mother drives my car. I was okay with it; I don't use it all the time and she's my mother. However, I was not okay with the multiple speeding tickets that came through in the post. "You're the registered keeper, so why should I pay?" FML
Today, I was on the way to traffic court for a $340 speeding ticket I'd got. My mother called me and I wasn't paying attention which caused me to speed. Right past a cop. When I told the cop where I was going, he started laughing at me. I now have another $300 ticket. FML
Today, my mom told me to follow her car closely to my aunt's house. I kept really close to her which caused me to get pulled over for tailgating. I explained everything to the cop so he went over to my mom to see if that was the truth. My mom said she didn't know me. I got a ticket. Thanks mom. FML
Today, I got a ticket. From my dad the cop. FML
It never rains, it pours
Today, I got a speeding ticket in the mail, at the same time as my car was getting towed. FML
Don't pick up
Today, I learned that several thousand people in my state got tickets this month for driving and talking on the phone. My mom called to tell me this while I was driving. I'm now part of that statistic. Thanks, mom. FML
Today, I was driving home and got a phone call from my mom. She called to tell me that there was a cop at the bottom of our hill, and to be careful. I got a ticket for talking on my cell phone while driving. FML
Today, I was called a "whore," a "demon," a "piece of shit," and a "disrespectful bitch." All of this happened because I wouldn't let my mother-in-law borrow my car. This is a woman with multiple speeding tickets. FML
Charged
Today, I was pulled over for not having my car inspection up to date. I had my car inspected two weeks earlier. Since I'm at college my sticker was mailed to my home. My mother didn't want to pay the 42 cent postage, so now I have to pay $250 because my mother is cheap. FML
Speed racer
Today, I got a speeding ticket. My speedometer got busted a few weeks back, rendering it useless. My father, a former mechanic, decided it's not worth the trouble of going in and fixing it. "Just keep with traffic when you're on the highway; you'll be fine." This $150 fee says otherwise. FML

Next time make her sit in the back, just don't let her drive with you at all.

Next time, tell her you'll turn the car around and NO ONE will be getting ice cream :-) On a more serious note, in majority of traffic tickets if you take the time to actually go to court and plead no contest, they'll waive the ticket and have you pay just court costs.

Plead no contest, and have your mom pay for it.

You don't get ticketed for suspicious driving. If you received a ticket it was for another offense the officer found while he stopped you.

Clearly not true #12. Op probably did get pulled over for that, then the officer sited them for wreckless driving. My Dad was a Cop and that's one way they can site it as. Thank-You!!

While reckless driving is a bad thing, don't think people should be cited for wreckless driving.

That sucks op, next time you should make her get a bus

In your place I'd have stopped the car after the first instance and put her out. What kind of idiot messes around with the steering wheel while someone is driving?

No way I'd continue driving if someone is messing with the wheel while I do so. I'd have pulled over immediately. That's so dangerous

she should pay the ticket for you.

I'd never get in a car with her again if I was in this situation. Not only is what your mother did annoying but it's also downright dangerous for her, you and everyone else on the road.

No, YOUR mom still has to pay it. She's the one that got you the damn ticket in the first place.

If the ticket is under OP's name, the mom has no legal responsibility to pay the ticket. Only OP does. I would be asking her for money, and if she refuses, then cut her off from favors/help, and or visits for a while.

The cop should have arrested her
