Today, I got a large envelope from a college I applied to earlier. My mom, expecting big news, made my family gather round as I opened it. It ended up being a letter of rejection from not just that school, but all three campuses of the state college. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

If the rejection letter comes in a big envelope, I'd hate to see how the acceptance letter arrives. Maybe an owl delivers it?

Wow that's tough. Keep your head up!

At least your mom and the rest of your family believe in you. Don't worry.

Keep your chin up and keep applying!!

I'm sorry you didn't get in, OP. I'm currently working on getting to the university of my dreams, and I'll be equally devastated if I don't get in. I hope you find somewhere else!

So sorry, but don't give up, you'll get there !

I didn't even realize state colleges could reject you...

I mean, hey, at least they sent you a letter. when I got rejected they just emailed me.

Send out applications everywhere, even if it's not a college or course you thought of frequenting before or in a state you thought about moving to. It's easier to transfer colleges than getting in, at times. I got rejected twice to all colleges i applied before i decided to apply to similiar courses to the one i wanted, in colleges from North to South of my country (much smaller than yours but still, everywhere). Not only did i get in, i got in um more than one college. So keep it very strategic, spread out and good luck OP!

I feel sorry for you OP. Sucks that you have to live in a country with an education system like that.

I guess the college ran out of small envelopes? I wouldnt want to goto school there... if they cant keep office supplies what makes you think they can teach you...

Well at least it's just that one state right you've got 49 more states to choose from!
