Today, I got 20% tints on my car. As I'm driving home, a cop pulls me over. I didn't want to ruin my new tint by opening my window, so I opened my door as the cop approached. He then pulled out his gun and yelled "GET ON THE FUCKING GROUND!" before I could explain. FML

Today, I got pulled over by a cop. Since my window wasn't working, I opened the door, causing him to run towards me with a drawn gun. He then had a go at me with his night stick. After realizing my window was broken, he laughed and let me off with a warning. FML
Today, I got pulled over heading home from college. My car was full of my stuff from moving out, and I couldn't reach the glove box. I told the cop this, and asked if he wanted me to go around to the passenger side to get my paperwork. He agreed. When I got out of the car, he pepper sprayed me. FML
Today, I went to the police station to find out if the tint on my new car's windshield was too dark. The officer took one look, told me that windshield tints are illegal in California, and ticketed me. So much for being honest. FML
Today, I was pulled over by a cop. He asked for my license and registration, so I reached for my center console. I was then greeted with a gun to my ear because my coffee cup supposedly looked like a gun. I stepped out of my car to apologize, and I was hit with a big stick. FML
Today, I got pulled over for speeding. I started fixing my hair and unbuttoning a couple of buttons on my shirt, hoping the policeman would let me off with a warning. When he got to the car, he rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath. I saw him walk back to the cop car gagging. FML
Today, my friend was pulled over and told to get out of the car. The officer motioned for me to get out of the car too so I reached behind me to get my shoes. He then pointed his gun at my face and frantically asked my friend if I had a gun. My friend calmly replied, "No, but shoot him anyway." FML
Today, I pulled up to a red light. My ex was in the next car, and my car's windows are so tinted that you can't see through them, so I flipped him off. I was driving my mom's car. FML
Today, I was pulled over by a motorcycle cop for speeding in a 25 MPH zone. As the cop was walking towards my car, I flicked my cigarette butt out of my window. So, the cop did me the pleasure of writing me two tickets instead of one. FML
Today, I was driving home. I desperately needed the bathroom, so I was speeding a little bit. A cop pulled me over and gave me hell. He said he'd heard my story a hundred times and didn't believe me. I couldn't hold it and ended up marinating in my own piss while he ran my plates. FML
Today, while driving I saw a police car riding along next to me. Thinking about the news recently, I decided to give him a quick thumbs up and a smile to lighten up his day. He looks back, smiles, flips on his siren, and pulls me over for not paying attention to the road. FML

#21, Tints are not stupid and unneccessary for people who are photosensitive - in fact its a necessity if they have a severe case and they are going to be in a car for any length of time, or a mild case and will be in the car for any great distance. Might want to learn about what you are talking about before you comment on it. Photosensitivity is pretty common

Ugh, this scares me; my driver's window doesn't roll down and I'd have to open the door to talk to a cop if I got pulled over. I'll just have to be reeeeeally, reeeeally careful :(

Why would you get your windows tinted anyway? It looks stupid and it's completely unnecessary. YDI because tinted windows draw attention to your car thus why the cop pulled you over, probably. Also, if there is a ******* cop outside of your car the last thing you want to be worried about is your windows. One more thing, 20% is a lot of tint, depending where you live. The window tint laws and how much light that is required to enter varies from state to state. Perhaps where he lives, the amount of tint he had on his windows was illegal.

Why do people wear makeup??? It's completely stupid and unnecessary and only draws attention. It's for looks dipshit. Of course some people would want to tint their windows its just like girls putting on makeup or getting a tattoo. It's for visual appearance.

I'd have maybe opened the door but made sure you had both hands up where he could see them? I know, you were nervous and he was too, and yeah... really just sucked for both sides.
