Today, I found out that people can get ringworm from cats. I found out because I have ringworm. I don't have a cat. Then I remembered I helped a friend move about two weeks ago, and spent the night sharing a bed with her cat. That's the last time I ever help her move. FML

Today, our new cat, which my mum was hesitant about letting us keep because she believes they're diseased, gave us all ringworm. FML
Today, my sister found out she contracted ringworm and scabies from her best friend's rescued kittens. The entire family now has to be treated to prevent it from spreading. There are 7 people in our house and none of us have health insurance. FML
Today, I let my new cat sleep in bed with me. It was cute until she wiped a tapeworm onto my arm. FML
Today, I went to the doctor for an infection from where a cat bit me while I was sleeping. Where that cat came from and how it got into my bedroom I will never know. FML

Today my parents told me that their cat had worms last year. The same cat they asked me to cat-sit for two weeks. No one told me. FML
Today, I'm feeling extremely sick and itchy. I'd bought rats as pets to help with my anxiety, and they gave me ringworm. I now have ringworm in about nine places on my body, including my face. I don’t know which one is worse, being dizzy from the medication or the itching. I’m feeling more anxious than ever. FML
Today, I found out why I had been waking up feeling like crap for the past week. I found tufts of cat fur in my pillow case, and I am allergic to cats. My little brother thought I would get so sick, and he could have my XBox. FML
Today, I found out my cat is allergic to ME. No kidding. FML
Today, I stayed the night at a friend's house for the first time. I went to get water from the kitchen when I saw a cat staring at me. I looked back and it ran off. I told my friend about it. He doesn’t have a cat. FML
Today, I learned how my cat's flea medicine works. Instead of killing the fleas, it just makes the fleas move off of the animal. The good news is my cat no longer has fleas. The bad news is, the fleas moved into my bed. FML

How do you know you got it from your friends cat? You can get ringworm plenty of ways, and it would be pretty hard not to notice that on a cat anyways.

Haha, or watch what she does? Ringworm is a fungus, usually spread from person to person by physical contact, or in warm areas like locker rooms, showers, and wrestling mats, the latter being where I picked it up once. Not saying the op couldn't have got it from a cat, but that's pretty uncommon. A cat with a fungal infection would be pretty easy to spot.

YDI, "ringworm" is actually a fungal infection called tinea corporis. It is not a worm, and is NOT communicated by cats. The most likely source is another human, not a feline!

Sorry to disappoint you but yeah it is.. I'm working in a cat shelter and caught ringworm there.. it's totally related, yes it is a fungus.. but yeah it can be given by cats to humans

You can also get ringworm easily if your prone to athletes foot.. they are similar fungal strains.. doesn't have to come from an animal

Haha! No, it's incredibly easy to catch ringworm from cats, more so than humans, if you spend your time around cats.
