Today, I found out that because we made a mistake and applied for the wrong visa first, my fiancé probably can't fly into America to attend his own wedding. FML

Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
Today, my fiancée told me she can't marry me. Our wedding day is tomorrow and around 20 of our 180 guests attending have travelled half way around the world just for the occasion. FML
Today, I found out less than three weeks before my wedding that my fiancé will lose his new, great paying job, unless we cancel our nonrefundable honeymoon. FML
Today, I discovered that my fiancé had responded to an online missed connection posting. He has been emailing, exchanging pictures and making plans to go out with this girl. We are supposed to be married in the fall and just put down the non-refundable deposit on our reception site. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he had to go pick up his family from the airport. I assumed he meant his parents. He apologized and said he meant his wife and child. They'd got their Visas sooner than he'd thought. FML
Today, I found out that I won't be able to attend my own wedding, because I'll be in a mandatory training class that doesn't allow people to take vacation for any reason. So now we've wasted $10,000, and I can't even fly home for one day. All because I got promoted unexpectedly. FML
Today, my fiancé told me it was a mistake to propose to me. FML
Today, I went with my girlfriend to the airport for some much needed vacation time. We arrived on time but were stopped at the gate when they told me I didn't have the right passport. The plane left without me. My girlfriend did too. FML
Today, I spent 900 dollars on a ticket for my boyfriend to visit me and he missed the flight. FML
Today, my fiancée decided to go on a "vacation." Our wedding is tomorrow. FML

I used VisaJourney's community to help me immigrate into the US (I'm CDN, husband is US) They have step by step guides for almost every country too, and the community can verify exactly what you need to do in case something doesn't make sense. I'm sorry you did it that way, Perhaps it can be resolved by asking for a Visit Visa. I was given one after sending in my documents (Initial step that makes it so you can't go into that country) so I could 'visit' with my husband while I waited for the next step. Call the Customs and Immigration call centre. (I'm not sure what its called anymore, its been almost 9 years) But that website will help you!

Alright, this one's mine. First, he's not trying to move to America, I'm moving to Australia. But my family is bigger so the wedding is here. Second, we did research and everything told us we were right. Guess not. Still working it out though. And for those of you who are wondering, my family likes him, just not that I'm moving.

This has happened to my brother and his girlfriend, they had professional help but well still got the wrong visa. They have been trying to get married for 7 years now.
